The Blooming Lies

"What?!" Everyone cooed once being exposed to the news. Even I was shocked to realize that Deku had forgotten about everything until the time he was about to inherit his power. How tragic, so that meant he does not remember our bonds together, the battles we have overcome as a team, and, mostly importantly, as a Wonder Duo. I am so damn stupid.

"Like I mentioned, even if it is erratic for Midoriya to vanish from your lessons, and then return with empty memories, the circumstances are very private. So sadly, we cannot provide you the information as to what happened," Aizawa said monotonously. Despite the short clarification, everyone seemed to have gotten more curious and petty. I mentally smirked and felt the satisfaction wash over my body as I realized that I was the only one to assimilate the tragedy.

After the hopeless chatter eventually dismounted, everybody stared at each other wonderbly. "But how could we just accept that? First, Midoriya disappears without a trace, and then comes back without his quirk AND his memory?!" Four Eyes dispersed from the crowd to walk frontward, accommodating his lens. Aizawa nodded.

"Exactly. To briefly deal with these circumstances, we hope you can understand and be patient," he articulated. "Us heroes are making an effort to catch the criminal who stole Midoriya's quirk, and meanwhile you kids have to take it easy with Midoriya, since he does not remember any of you."

At this point, everyone, including myself, gasped in horror. Deku doesn't remember us? That was worse than losing the recordance of momentous experiences. This trail of pity that we all had rose in the atmosphere grew heavier and tenser; we were worried, but some more than others, since they were rather unaware of the events. Being at the back, I saw Pink Cheeks at the edge of crying with Frog caressing her back. All I thought was why would you cry at this, when you were clearly hitting on me just yesterday? And then most were digging a stare at the person next to them, which boiled my blood at how they pretended to care.

Deku glanced at the strangers with guilty eyes, standing beside Aizawa who was also a definite stranger to him, but had explained the situation when he woke up. Wearing his customary casual shirt and pants, us appeared foreign because of our U.A uniform. He furrowed his eyebrowns as he devastatingly did not remember anyone, but oddly familiar, and then both of our stare's connected. His face light up instantly, and was mixed with confusion and happiness.

"Hi, Kacchan!" He almost screamed after being told of not recognizing his friends, waving at me with the brightest smile that showed his teeth. I was taken aback at his recognition that I am his "Kacchan," but questioned why did he not forget about me but everyone else? Regardless, I was relieved, and utterly relaxed that his view finally perceived these extras as side characters. I hindered myself from smirking evilly.

These extras all switched their gaze at me, suspicious as to why Deku only remembered me. Aizawa cleared his throat at this arising altercation, and spoke up.
