The Upbringing, the Odd Stories

We were doomed.

Class 1-A was going to cause a rampage and the teachers would deem it's our fault. We were in the middle of nowhere with no signs to be availed, but if we kept walking down the sideline, surely we must encounter at least the shadowed outline of a commerce. Deku and I revised our phones and seemingly the mobile data and internet service was at its lowest bars, vaguely nothing and useless to call for help or another cab. Besides, there were already thirty minutes left until the sky cloated into an uncanny hue of dark blue; no way would we risk the generous offer of any stranger noticed.

"Kacchan," Deku leaned his head on my shoulder. Feeling the physical interaction, I glanced below after surfing through my phone. Trapping my arm, his face was daunted by distress and sadness, as he rubbed his hair affectionately. "Can we get out of here already? It's getting dark."

Both sides of me wanted to crumble and flick him away, but it was such a rare moment for Deku to hold me so vulnerably. It sort of stunned me, since his change of attitude and anger towards me was not visible or even present at the moment. Like he was trapping me on his web, easily covering his emotions into attaining what he wanted. Either way, the possibilities enraged me internally and also predisposed me to experiment on the attributes of a gentleman.

"We will. I was trying to find some help but, without internet, there is no online search. When we come back I'm going to give this person the worst reviews ever."

"This wouldn't have happened if you were calmer, though. And kind too." My eyes widened at a god-like speed. That was it for me to remove his embrace on me in an instant and shove him away. That was it. Call me an emotional wreck or an easily-offended jackass, but I was fermented enough to commit a murder, a felony, or an indecency. I just wanted to blow some steam out, to fucking rest on a comfortable place already rather than standing at this edge of thin ice! And this asshole made the night worst with his unsupportive drawbacks! Slowly but surely, I've realised that my liking towards Deku has been more composed of fury than of admiration. So much has evolutionised and altered, I'm quite apprehensive it might be prone to cease its virtues in the future.

Deku gave me the look of disdain, the one I'm incredibly accustomed to after the course of the temporary ride. Supposed it's a terrible sign, a terrible meaning that he must detest me; but in the end, I can always warp what he thinks, else I'd just subdue it onto his skull with eternal force. I began stepping forward with no definite destination planted in head. This road wasn't like a desert, instead, it was the opposite. At our left loomed a vast frame of the starry skylight with the horizontal water flowing underneath. Ahead of the post were trees, thousand of trees, which decorated most of our right side with more mountains and promontories to climb. Shortly, it was a rural area.

Catching up with little effort, the mental-twig behind me delayed his pace. Assuming he doesn't care to look at me in the face, to walk beside me or ever apologise for making me feel at fault. I was just simply trying to mend things up, but I don't want to give up every fragment of myself for it. It troubled me since I had a strong sense to compensate, to make matters better and bring a smile to his face. Cheering him up, but I don't know how. I don't know how relationships work. All I know is that one and the other possesses each other, they have an urge for connection so they stay intact forever. What I saw from his past relationship with Pink Cheeks, what didn't function adequately was the lack of prudent communication and bond-sharing. What kind of bond-sharing should I do, then?
