I sat perched in a window of the airport, watching the ground apprehensively. I knew the plan, of course I knew the plan. It was a stupid ass fucking plan, considering the others knew where we were going.

Yet we were still doing the plan. With a count of the people that supported Steve -- which consisted of Clint, Wanda, Scott, Sam, and myself since Bucky is the reason why we're doing this -- allowed us to narrow down who would be helping who.

So we'd be up against two tin cans, an assassin, an angry prince, a synthezoid, and of course my best friend. I fiddled with the earpiece in my right ear, sighing as I whispered, "How much longer are we going to sit still?"

"As long as it takes for Cap to need us. Hopefully no one will be here by the time they get to the hangar."

I hummed, glancing around from where I sat. I was pretty exhausted of sitting here already, and just wanted to get this over with.

A buzz sounded in my ear before Scott's voice rang through, "I'm getting kinda hungry. Did we grab orange slices when we left Arch?"

I chuckled and shook my head, leaning my head back against the wall as I looked around as I caught Steve making his way to the hangar, "No, we didn't get any orange slices. But you can get some after you tell me how you met the Falcon."

"Come on Arch," Sam's voice complained in my ear, "I shouldn't have asked you to go."

I watched with narrowed eyes as Steve slowed down and stood still. I then narrowed my eyes and sat up straight, tucking my legs beneath me and perched up onto my toes. I watched Tony and Rhodey flew down and landed ten feet from Steve.

I pressed a hand to my ear to listen in on their conversation. I could very faintly hear Tony speak up, followed by Rhodey, "Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?"

"Definitely weird."

Steve spoke up, "Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this."

I noticed a third person jump up and make their way over, landing off to Steve's right. I did not recognize the suit, but hearing the voice as they greeted Steve alerted me of who it was.

T'Challa.

"Anyway," Tony interjected, moving forward and tilting his head slightly to the side, "Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?"

"You're after the wrong guy."

"Your judgment is askew," Tony argued, "Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday."

"And there are five more super soldiers just like him," Steve argued back, "I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't."

I heard Natasha's voice over the comms and groaned internally, watching as he turned around to look behind him. She spoke calmly, "You know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?"

Steve looked away from Natasha towards Tony, who said something that I couldn't catch on the comms. Then he cupped his mouth with his hands and shouted out 'Underoos!', and as quickly as he said it, Steve's shield was taken away and his hands were put together.

I blinked slowly and hissed out, "What just happened."

A conversation quickly ensued between Tony and the other one who he called 'Kid' and the said 'Kid' called himself Spider-Man. Steve spoke up, "You've been busy."

"And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint, 'Rescuing' Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to keep..." Tony looked away before resuming his sentence, "I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart."

Steve sighed, "You did that when you signed."

"All right, we're done. You're gonna turn Barnes over, you're gonna come with us, now, because it's us... or a squad of J-SOC guys with no compunction about being impolite."

Sam's voice came over the comms, "We found it. The Quinjet's in hangar five, north runway."

I grinned and got up from where I sat before raising my hands, blasting away the window. I jumped down and summoned my wings before flying my way over to where Steve was.

I landed beside Steve and raised my head, turning to glance at him, "Nice line. 'You did that when you signed', could feel the emotion from over there."

Steve smiled at me before turning to the others, "All right, Lang."

"Hey, guys, something-" Spider-Man was cut off as Scott returned to his normal size, grabbing onto Steve's shield and throwing Spider-Man backwards.

Scott landed back by us and raises the shield to Steve, "I believe this is yours, Captain America."

I narrowed my eyes as I watched as a portal opened behind Tony and Rhodey, and I clenched my fists as I watched Steph emerge. She opened her mouth to speak to me, but seeing the anger in my eyes shut her up instantly.

I looked over towards Steve and nodded my head before lifting off and following after Tony as he left to go after Wanda. I ducked under one of his repulser blasts and steered off towards the side, groaning, "Tony come on, leave Wanda alone."

"She was safe back at the compound."

"If she was safe and happy there, why did she leave?" I hissed back before colliding with something from my right. I fell down and steadied myself in midair, turning as I watched Steph land on an airplane.

"Come on Nicki, please don't make me do this," Steph pleaded, getting up from where she landed and looked towards me.

I pressed my lips shut as I raised my hand and threw a wave of light at her, throwing her back and off the airplane. I turned around and flew after Tony before feeling a hand latch onto my ankle and pull me down.

I hissed and reared my other leg up, kicking down on Steph's other hand, anger burning in my eyes. She looked up at me with a begging look, "Nicki!"

I kicked her hand another time, hissing out at her, "Fucking let go of me, Stephanie!"

"Please Nicki, just come with us and don't make this more difficult than it has to be!" she cried, her grip tightening on my ankle despite the furious kicks I delivered.

"You don't get it Steph," I yelled, kicking one last time and turning around swiftly, making contact with her as I punched her down. She opened a portal behind her and exited it by tumbling onto the pavement. She looked up at me, sadness filling her brown eyes, "I hoped that it wouldn't come to this. That the Accords wouldn't have affected us to this extent. Yet here we are, you on the ground and myself above you. Please just don't fight me, I don't want to do this."

"You signed the Accords, Nicki. I can't just let you go."

I shook my head and saw red, lifting up higher into the air as I raised my hands, before abruptly gesturing to myself, "I sighed the Accords?!? Stephanie, you put my name on there! I did not sign those fucking papers!"

Steph winced at my tone, "I was just looking out for you!"

"Looking out for me turned me into a fugitive and now I won't be able to see my parents ever again. I won't even be able to see my brother grow," I spat, staring down at Steph with distaste, "You have severed everything that you helped me get back."

"Nicki..."

"You shouldn't even have the right to say my name, you fucker. The action that I have been apart of has been trying to stop a man from hurting others because of experimentation to him, and by running from you! Just... leave. I don't want to see you anymore."

I turned away from her and lifted off before feeling a hand on my ankle once again. I lifted my leg and went to kick down before watching my leg disappear into another portal.

"I won't let you go."
