We all sat around a table together. Everyone else had gone home except the Avengers. Chinese takeout sat on the middle of the table, and I took another sip from my cup as Clint pointed towards the hammer with a drumstick, "But it's a trick."

"No, no, it's much more than that," Thor laughed.

"'Ah, whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power.' Whatever, man! It's a trick," Clint stated, gesturing wildly at the hammer and to Thor, who seemed to be having the time of his life.

He put his hand near the hammer, laughing, "Please, be my guest."

Tony and I looked expectantly at Clint, and Tony smiled at him, "Come on."

"Really?" Clint asked.

"Yeah."

Clint got up to his feet, walking over towards the hammer. I snickered as he walked over, hearing Rhodey talk, "Oh, this is gonna be beautiful."

"Clint, you've had a tough week. We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up," Tony teased.

Everyone started to laugh and I glanced towards Steph. She seemed like she was partially paying attention. Clint looked down at Thor, "You know I've seen this before, right?"

Thor smiled as Clint grabbed onto the handle, pulling back only for it not to move an inch. He started to laugh, shaking his head in disbelief, "I still don't know how you do it!"

"Smell the silent judgment?"

"Please, Stark, by all means," Clint sneered.

Tony got to his feet, clearing his throat while Maria Hill chuckled, "Okay."

"Uh-oh," Rhodey sighed.

"Never one to shrink from an honest challenge," Tony responded.

"Just make sure that honest challenge doesn't break your back, buddy," I grinned, taking another sip from my drink.

"You make another comment like that to me and I'm gonna loose it."

"Okay old man."

"It's physics," he muttered, ignoring my last comment. I laugh triumphantly, leaning back to watch him fail miserably, "Right, so, if I lift it, I then rule Asgard?"

"Yes, of course," Thor responded.

"I will be reinstituting prima nocta," Tony added, putting a foot on the table and lifting up, only to be stopped by the hammer. I laughed, listening to Steph giggle slightly beside me. He took a step back from the hammer, before looking around, "Be right back."

Tony left the area, leaving Steph into a fit of laughter as she shook her head, "Mr. Stark is desperate."

I watched as he entered the room again, an iron man gauntlet on his left arm. He attempted to pull the hammer up again, but he just failed once more.

Rhodey got to his feet and went to find his gauntlet to his War Machine suit, returning with the grey gauntlet. The two of them grabbed the handle and lifted, only to fail.

Bruce walked over to it, yelling out as he tried to lift it. He fell back and stabilized himself onto his feet, looking around to see the teasing faces of his teammates. He chuckled sheepishly and stepped away from the hammer.

Steve got to his feet, and Tony sulkingly spoke up, "Go ahead, Steve. No pressure."

He pulled the sleeves of his shirt up, grabbing the hammer and pulling back. I focused intently on the hammer, my eyes widening as I noticed a slight movement. I looked up to Thor, seeing the shocked and worried look in his eyes.
