On the way back to the mansion, I stopped at a flower shop and brought a flower bouquet, and then I entered the jewelry store where I had assigned the order for a chain. It had a heart locket with our family picture inside it. Retrieving the gift, the time was 7 PM when I returned to the mansion.

Not wanting to show off my gifts, I directly rushed up to my room and set everything on my cupboard. I freshened up and trudged down the stairs to have dinner with my family.
As the dinner began, everyone was eating with small chit chats and smiles, I cleared my throat earning their scrutiny. I wanted to tell them about Maha's arrival. I don't want her to feel left out.

"Maha and her grandma will come to Aadhya's birthday celebration tomorrow" I announced. A gasp left from someone's lips, I didn't pay interest as I know who it was.
"I'm so excited to meet her!" Aadhya said with a wide grin while Reena grunted. "Why is she coming here?" She raised her voice. "Be quiet Reena" Dhruv shut her up with an angry look.

"Because I invited her," I asserted and resumed eating. Most of them are happy with the news except one. "How does she look? Is she so beautiful? like more than me?" Reena queried and Richard chuckled at her words. I didn't acknowledge her. Is it so important to know how she looks? For me, all that concerns is one's personality. And I meant that.

"Why are you quiet? Was she that ugly?" I gave her an outrageous glance. "Reena, that's enough! get up" Rahul uncle ordered sternly, Reena stormed her feet on the floor and went away from the dining hall, leaving her food unfinished.

"Don't mind her Tarun" Dhruv said with a sorry face and I nodded in understanding. "But Anna(big brother)just asking how does she look?" Aadhya inquired after a while gaining my attention. "Like a human being of course!" Richard exclaimed and laughter emitted from everyone.
Aadhya scowled at Richard.

"She is cute" declaring that I left from there.

At sharp 12 'o'clock, I wished my little sister a belated happy birthday with a big hug. "Thank you Anna" she beamed. Followed by me, came all my family members one by one to wish her. Richard appeared late, He looked so sleepy, kinda like a zombie. And then he started to sing."Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday to Tarun buddy!.."

What!

The room was filled with giggling noise at Richard's words."Tarun seems like your friend adores you so much" Dhruv commented with a chuckle. Aadhya was rolling on her bed, laughing as she did. Richard might have done it purposefully to make her smile. She was so cheerful.

"Happy birthday Anna!!" she chuckled and laid her head on my chest. "Live long and stay blessed, good night buddy..." Richard mumbled with a yawn and retreated away. Is he sleepwalking or what? So that means he didn't know who he was wishing? Great.

He did all the arrangements for Aadhya's birthday with such perfection and now he spoiled everything just in a fraction of a second by his idiocy. Anyways my sister is happy, that's all that matters.

The next morning, my mom and dad cooked mutton, chicken, and poori! My sister's favorite dishes. Her school and college friends had arrived morning itself, and I was so done with their blushing that was thrown in my direction. And if that isn't completely enough, Reena had invited her friends also, our mansion seemed like a marriage hall.

Oh, and did I say about Reena's behavior. She is irritating me to the core by introducing her friends to me and mentioning me as her huge crush. "Are you working in NASA?"One of Reena's friends asked me and before I could reply, Reena chirped in. "Yes yes," she locked her hands around my arms and said proudly.

I'm so done with this girls. They aren't allowing me to move anywhere. "Have you seen pluto?" Someone please give these girls an award for dumbness. I'm not an astronaut.

Richard escaped from all these as he was trailing behind my sister for the stunt he pulled at midnight. He was sticking to her like glue. "Hey, Dhruv" I called him when he walked down from the stairs. He looked at me with a smile but it soon disappeared watching my surroundings. He hurriedly took out his phone from his pocket and put it to his ear. "Oh, wait I'm coming," he said on his phone and surged outside the mansion.

Damn it! I'm trapped.

It won't take me a minute to pull myself out of this crowd of girls, but that won't look good If I did so.

Frustrating.

"Tarun! Come here" who is my savior. Ah, my Rahul uncle. "Excuse me" I left a heavy sigh after bringing myself out from there. "Saved you" he chuckled and went away. Taking that as a chance I fled to the kitchen to meet my mom. "Taste this" she stuffed my mouth with some cooked biriyani and I melted in its taste. That was so yummy.

"Yamu amma! give me a plate of it" she frowned. "Wait for some time, we can eat together with everyone," She said and turned around to cook again.
"Yamu amma no! I need to pick up Maha and her grandma from the village. It's already 2 pm" I convinced her and she agreed to give me food.

I ate it quickly and washed my hands.
With a kiss on my mom's cheeks, I was out in the parking lot to drive off to the village. Why am I so excited to see her? I smiled and sped up my car.

Reaching the village, without wasting time I sauntered to her house. Grandma sat outside on the bed on the veranda but my eyes were searching for Maha.

And there she is.
