"You don't have a girlfriend" I stated with a smile and let my chin rest on his thigh. He gave a pointed look before nodding. I want to propose to him now itself. I don't like to beat around the bush. Postponing or delaying things are out of my ordinary, If I want to do something, I will do it right away.   

"Maha, where is your grandma?" he asked with a hint of confusion. "She must have gone out to fetch milk from Sagundala grandma's house" He nodded his head. "Okay, so I'll get going..." He gently moved my face from his thigh and stood up.

"Noo, don't go" I perked up at him with pleading eyes and he looked taken aback by my words. "Why..?" He questioned, making me frown.
"Because I want you to stay" he cleared his throat and spoke.

"It won't look good If I was here in grandma's absence" then why in the first place would he barge in without anyone's consent and sit in the living room like a king. My tongue itched to blurt it out but I bit back it.

"When I came here, the front door was unlocked, I thought grandma was here so I just sat in the living room. However, the person I met with was an annoyed sleepyhead" he chuckled,I twitched my lip in embarrassment.

Change the topic Maha.

"Where are Richard and his sister?" I questioned trying to divert him from the previous reply. "They both returned to the mansion in Amanda's car" ooh. I nodded.

"Okay, then bye Maha" he smiled and reached the doorway. I hurriedly stood up and followed him behind.
"Scientist!" I stopped him by clutching his arms tightly. He doesn't resist. "Scientist, I'm sorry that I'm doing this without any proper preparations but I love you" He is speechless. I grasped his arms more tighter and he sighed before speaking.

"I don't understand how I fell for a crazy head like you" He unclasped my hands from him and walked away. He had a slight smile on his face.

Wait-What did he just say??

My heart, where are you? Did you hear that? He said he fell for me. I am frozen in my spot, that's why I'm communicating in my mind. I couldn't open my mouth to speak.

But I wanted to speak many things.
So many things. Before I could gain my whole self together, grandma stood in front of me with a weird expression on her face.

"Why are you standing like a statue in the doorway," I blinked twice and frowned. Did scientist depart already? How long was I standing like this?

"Maha move" I abruptly shuffled away letting my grandma in. "This kid.." she mumbled something but her words were deaf to my ears as I pondered repeatedly upon the words that my scientist said.

I don't understand how I fell for a crazy head like you.

My heart is beating so erratically that I supported myself by holding the wall. With a wide smile, I slid against the barrier and sat down on the floor.

He loves me.

"Maha, where is the tea pow..." grandma panicked while coming towards me. "Ayo, what happened to you?" She tapped on my cheeks and I hugged my grandma, catching her off guard.

"I'm so happy grandma!" I exclaimed and rushed to my room. She was shocked by my outburst.

The feeling of loved by someone you love is too good, not to forget it's extremely rare which made it all so much overwhelming for me.

"Scientist loves mee!!" I face palmed and blushed furiously. "Cool down." I relaxed myself but my legs shook with happiness and excitement. I want to see my scientist, I bit my lip in curiosity and laid back on the bed.

The sun disappeared making the world dark.

My lips were painful from the amount of time I had grinned and blushed heavily. Silently, I had my food not wanting to get the same look from grandma when I came out to have my tea before.

"Your behavior is so strange," she said after being done with her dinner. "Ooh" I gave her an innocent look and continued eating like an obedient kid.
She shook her head and went to the kitchen.

As I finished my food, I retreated to my room and flopped on the bed. My mind and heart are fully stuffed with thoughts of my scientist. Would he be also thinking about me?

Who knows.

Sighing I got up and sauntered to the window, where the moon was too small in size today. I thanked the moon in my heart with a smile for making my scientist love me.

Then I opened a book to read. Ah, the moment I flip the pages, the different scenarios running into my head made me feel as if I am directly witnessing the journey of the protagonist. This particular thing is so addictive about reading books.

Didn't know when I dozed off, but when I woke up, my whole being felt so delighted. Hurriedly brushing and having tea, I took a quick shower. Should I wear a saree today? It will make me look at least a bit grown-up girl.

Ah. But this saree is too uncomfortable. It exposes the skin on my back. I put a pin to hide my waist. Rushing to the mirror I looked at myself, I didn't like it.

It doesn't look good on me.

The skirt and top are far more better.

Simply wasted this much time in draping this saree. Irritated, I changed to a silk red top and skirt. Grandma who saw the scrunched-up saree laying in bed gave me a questioning look.

"Just tried grandma"

She nodded then spoke. "Don't spend too much time outside. Breakfast is ready, let's eat" talking she went out and I followed behind her.

After having breakfast, I sauntered to the entry of the village where usually scientist would show up. Within a few minutes, his car pulled up and Richard came down first followed by my scientist.

At that second, my heart started thumping furiously.
