The passing days went by uneventfully for the most part. My tattoos are healing nicely. Minho and I have drifted back to acting like suggestive besties again. The press has worn off ever so slightly. And after long deliberation, I decided to attend my biological dad's funeral.

Initially, I called to offer my condolences and decline the invitation, but Chelsea, my half-sister seemed excited to meet me and I ended up folding. So that brings me to the present, packing my bags to fly to Nebraska, a couple of days before I head out to Korea.

Since I'd never been to a funeral before I didn't want to go by myself. The BTS boys came up with the brilliant idea that one of them should come with me since I will be flying directly to Korea following the funeral. Stray Kids wanted in. So after a long and ridiculously serious game of rock paper scissors, Minho won. Go figure.

"Minho hurry up!" I called up the stairs for the 5th time. We are supposed to be at the airport in an hour and he just walked down the stairs in his pajamas. I sat my luggage at the front door and paced back and forth. "If you're not down here in 5 minutes I'm leaving by myself!" I yelled, annoyed. Goyangi and Fluffy ran up to me together, weaving between my legs.

"Aww my babies!" I cooed scooping them both into my arms. I know that I will miss them the most, as I always do when I'm out of town. Jenny, my housekeeper, has already moved back in and is currently residing in my room since the guys are in the rest of the rooms.

"Calm down." I heard Minho's voice float to me from the top of the stairs. He was dressed, finally, and carried his much smaller luggage down the stairs. Mine is bigger because I also have to pack for Korea after the Nebraska trip (if it's even appropriate to call it that).

"Jenny can you drop us off!" I called to her. I could drive but I don't really want to deal with airport parking for months.

"Yeah, I'm ready when you are!" Jenny responded from the living room. I loaded up the luggage into the car, then came back in to say my byes. All the boys had gathered and extended their arms to me for a group hug. I gave them a 'seriously' look but eventually gave in and hugged them.

"You know we're gonna see each other in Korea right?" I joked hugging each person individually.

"Yeah. We're just giving you some extra love and motivation. I know what you're going through with the funeral and everything is probably taking a toll on you, whether you want to show it or not." Namjoon said comfortingly, engulfing me into his hug a little longer than the others.

"Okay, okay." I stepped back from the mob of idols. "I'm gonna miss you guys too, but if we keep standing here, we're gonna miss our flight, and then there will be no reason to miss us," I waved to them one last time and loaded into the car with Jenny and Minho, pulling off towards the airport.

The ride itself was fairly short and relatively quiet, with only the radio to fill the silence. I fought off the urge to fall asleep, nodding in and out of consciousness, eventually losing. When we pulled up to the airport, I was asleep with my head resting on the window.

"Samantha," Minho whispered to me waking me up. "We're here."

After saying bye to Jenny, we grabbed our bags and headed to security, then the departure gate. There were still 20 minutes before first class began boarding, so Minho and I sat by a nearby window. In the span of 5 minutes, I saw about 10 planes fly in and out of the airport. It was so relaxing to me, like one of those background ASMR sound videos on Youtube. I started nodding off again, resting my arm on the armrest.

"Flight 225 going to Nebraska. Now boarding first class." An automated voice cut through my silent headspace causing me to stir awake. I wiped my eyes and stood up stretching, before grabbing my luggage and heading to the departure gate with Minho following closely behind. After boarding the plane, Minho turned to me and just looked at me.
