jordan has been avoiding his mom. he didn't want to accidentally reveal any information to him, like the fact that javier was in town. and he also felt guilty about what had happened to him.

because of that he's also been avoiding his boyfriend, elias. because the reason why he couldn't answer the phone while his mom called when he was getting kidnapped was because he was having sex with elias. and seeing elias just reminds him of they. elias knows about all that happened, so he's trying to be understanding and not bothering jordan.

but because of all these that's been happening, he's also been feeling really lonely. he has no one to talk to and he's isolating himself from everyone. he feels an overwhelming sadness deep inside him.

he's gone back to old habits because of that. he started drinking again, he knows he shouldn't, but it's the only thing that helps him to fill the void inside him.

he hears his phone ring and he picks it up. it's javier, jordan is almost tempted to let it ring like he's been doing in the past, but he feels so lonely he decides to answer it.

"hello?" he says.

"hello jordan," javier says. "you had me worried for a bit. how are you?"

jordan knows he should hate this man. and he does. but there's something about javier's voice that is strangely soothing to him.

"i-i'm not doing great," jordan admits. he can't bring himself to admit that everything's fine.

"i'm sorry about that," javier says. "i'm still in town, i want to see you. we can talk in person and figure out what to do."

jordan contemplates.

"if you want to," javier adds. "i know this isn't easy for you giving the past i had with zayn."

"yeah," jordan says. "i... i want to see you. send me your address and i'll be on my way."

"today?" javier asks.

"uh huh," jordan says.

"alright jordan," javier says. "i'll see you."

a couple of hours later, jordan drives to the motel where javier is staying. he had some alcohol so he had to wait till he was sober. he hasn't gotten his car back, but with everything that's going on in the house it wasn't hard for him to steal his key.

he follows the directions that javier had sent to him. he meets javier in the hotel lobby, he's playing pool. he's dressed casually and jordan can already see a couple of ladies around giving him a look. he wonders if javier is the player type.

javier sees him and waves him over. jordan goes to meet him.

"hi," jordan says.

"hi," javier replies. "can i hug you?"

"um," jordan blanks. he wasn't expecting that. "sure."

javier pulls him in for the warmest most embracing hug he's ever had in his seventeen years of living. jordan doesn't know when he wraps his arms around him too.

after they pull apart jordan can see that javiers eyes are teary.

"i'm sorry," javier says. "i've just... i've always wanted to do that. i never thought i'd get the chance to. thank you,"

"please don't make this weird," jordan says. his heart is already warming up to javier, but he hates that.

"sorry," javier says. he doesn't look apologetic. "how are you doing jordan?"

"obviously not great since i'm with you," jordan replies.

"ouch," javier chuckles. he doesn't seem offended. "you remind me of someone."
