Your Pov

After getting home I went straight to the kitchen to figure out if there was dinner made or not.

Micheal was eating something at the counter.

"Hey what's that?" I asked sitting down next to him.

"It's soup." he replied simply, too focused on his soup.

"So is mom still at work." he nodded still to focused.

"What were you doing after school?" he asked, trying his best to be considerate.

"Uh i was at the park with a friend." I said.

"Um you don't have friends, I mean unless it was Evan."

"I made a friend, dumbass. I know that's something you don't know how to do." I said

 sarcastically. "His name's Connor."

"Wait you mean Connor Murphy? He's the school freak right, why are you friends with him?" he

asked, now more interested in this conversation now, pushing his soup away.

"Eh he's not that bad-" Micheal cut me off "Yeah no, he pushed Evan and was yelling at Jared at

school. That sounds pretty bad." he replied.

"Yeah okay that was bad, but I don't know I think he has issues." I paused. "like depression or

something. He was sitting by himself in the park, so I sat with him for awhile."

"Oh." He said quietly. "I guess that's fine, just don't get hurt."

"Aw that's cute you care about me." I said walking over to the fridge. Micheal rolled his eyes and

went back to his soup. I found some leftover pizza in the fridge and brought it up with me to my

room. I looked at my phone and saw I had a text from a unknown number.

Unknown: Hey, It's Connor, thanks for today I guess.

Y/n: Oh hi Connor! Anytime, it was nice.

After that is said he was typing for awhile, but then it went away so I put my phone away and

started on some homework. "Hey y/n! i'm going to go hang out with Evan and his friends Jared

and Jeremy." Micheal yelled from downstairs. "If you want you can come."

I thought about it for a minute. Evan wasn't that bad, but Jared was dreadfully annoying, and

 i've never met Jeremy.

"Yeah no, I think i'm good." I said sighing a bit.

"Okay byeeeeee!" He yelled again.

I heard the door shut and sighed again. So far moving here was lonely, I mean I could hand out

with Micheal and his friends if I wanted to. But I really wanted to wanted to have my own

friends, my whole life I feel like I kind of just followed Micheal and his friends around. I wanted

to make my own friends. So far I had one, Connor. Okay i'm not sure if it technically was a

friendship or not. I looked back down at my phone that was still blank with no notifications. I

took a deep breathe, maybe if I wanted to be friends I should reach out first.

Y/n: Hi, how are you doing?
