"Hays. She's coming. I guess you need to explain yourself huh." Mariah exclaimed as she eyed Juno who's really coming over our spot

"Explain what?? You're confusing me." I replied as my heart is about to jump out of my chest

I gathered every strength in me just to act unbothered infront of Mariah.

Juno stopped right infront of us grabbing our attention.

"Hi Nessa, Mariah. May I join you?" She voiced out making me more nervous

"Of course Miss Reinhart." Mariah replied

I also nod and pat the grass next to me. Now what kind of situation am I in right now? And why am I so nervous? What does Mariah mean about her comments earlier? Did she notice there's something off between Juno and I? I'm getting dizzy for having this much questions in my head.

Juno sat next to me. She's on my left while Mariah is on my right. Great.

Silence filled the air as we quietly watch the game. This is so awkward. I wanna run away from here.

We can hear the cheers of the crowd as the game became more intense. Us three on the other hand is just sitting there quietly.

I can't go on like this. I need to clear the air between us.

"Ah Miss, so who won the last match?" I asked referring about Patty's game

"Mae." She replied as if she doesn't want to talk to me

I was happy to hear Mae won but the way Juno replied puts me in so much agony.

"Umm.. I'll be going first." Mariah exclaimed breaking the awkward silence

"Don't you wanna finish the game first?" I asked

"Nah.. I need to go to the gym. I got some message from my friends that they're watching basketball and are waiting for me there." She explained patting the grass on her jeans

"Okay then. Take care." I voiced out waiving my hand

I wanted to ask Mariah what she meant earlier but I don't want her to think I'm so affected and it may confirm her hunch.

Mariah waived to the both of us before walking her way out. She must also felt uncomfortable when Juno joined us.

We sat there silently as the game took the last set. The game got more intense as I held my breath for those long rallies. I wish I got to play volleyball, I would be having so much fun right now.

I glanced at Juno who quickly hid her smile. Was she looking at me this whole time?

"What are you smirking about?" I asked slightly glancing at her face

"Who's smirking?" She asked back

A smile formed in my mouth as she's talking to me normally again.

"Are you mad earlier?" I whispered through my breath

I heard her released a deep sigh and didn't bother to answer me.

"Why do I feel bad when I didn't do anything?" I asked leaning on both of my arms

Juno looked at me blankly a bit astonished.

"Sorry. I wasn't supposed to say that." I whispered again

"You really don't know why?" Juno replied

I slowly turned my head to face her. She's making that 'are you serious?' face infront of me.

"No?" I answered unsure of what to say

"I sometimes forgot you're just a teenager." She commented

I was offended by her comment and it made me silent. I got mad little by little that I can't concentrate anymore on the game infront of me.
