Chapter 2 | Hide and Seek

3rd person POV:

Y/n was checking out some of the activites she had planned for the day as she entered to the daycare. She was quite distracted since she wasn't looking up at all.

"GOOD MORNING!"

"HOLY SHI- SUNDROP!! You need to stop doing that, I'm gonna have a heart attack one of these days..." She replied letting out a small breath and continued to read her schedule.

"Whatcha' got there?" He asked peeking through her arm.

"It's the schedule for the day, I spent the whole night planning and writting down everything for the week"

"But you just started.. Don't you think you should take it slower?" He seemed concerned about Y/n not sleeping for doing extra work.

"Nope, I like to have everything well arranged in my head" She said putting the clip board down in her desk.

"Hm... There are many things I don't know about you Y/n, I think we should know eachother better!" He hugged her with one arm by the shoulder.

"Well, then ask me something, I'll do the same thing with you" Y/n explained and Sundrop stopped hugging her. He sat down on the ground feeling very exited and clapping his hands toghether.

"YES YES YES! Great idea, amazing idea! I'll start-" he paused to clear his throat (more like pretending he did) "What is your favorite candy?"

Y/n snickered at his question "That is so childish"

"I'm doing my best!!" He replied with a loud tone making his voice crack slightly. This made Y/n laugh and she sat in the floor infront of him.

"Um.. Gummies I guess, I don't really eat much candy"

"What!? You don't know what you're missing!" Sundrop said kinda surprised.

"Whatever you say. Umm...What is your favourite game?"

"ALL OF THEM! But if I had to choose I think maybe Hide and Seek, I love seeking!" He replied very exited.

"That's-" Y/n was about to say something but the first kids to get into the Daycare interrupted "I guess I know what we're doing today" she said looking back at Sundrop.

He gasped "Really!?"

"Sure, let's just wait for more kids to arrive"

"YAY! WE'RE GONNA HAVE SO MUCH FUN TODAY!!" He stood up and ran towards the children to start playing other things.

Y/n stood up too and sat in her desk, she wasn't around the children all the time like Sundrop did, she usually just came in to play or help control the children when needed. But that doesn't mean she can't have fun, of course she loved being there and if someone asked her to join them she would without a single comply.

Time passed and there were already about 33 kids in the Daycare, which means they could already start playing.

"Okay kids! Gather around, we're gonna play something together!!" she shouted so that everyone could hear her.

"We are?" a small girl asked.

"Yes darling, help me bring the others here, will ya?" The little girl nodded and went to call for her friends. Soon everyone was infront of Y/n waiting for her to give the instructions.

"Amazing! Looks like everyone's here, I think we can start now" She said looking around the place.

"What are we gonna play miss?" A kid asked raising their hand as they spoke.

"Today's game was request from our friend Sundrop, we'll be playing hide and seek" She said to which the kids seemed to be very excited "And since there are so many children, someone will have to help Sundrop seek, so... who will be the one helping?"

As soon as she said that everyone seemed to raise their hand and yelled to be elected.

"Wow, so many volunteers! Sundrop, do you mind choosing your helper?" she looked at him and pointed her hand towards the children.

"This little girl will help!" he raised her from the ground and looked at her "Are you gonna help me find everyone little one?" The little girl nodded and they started playing.

Sundrop and the girl were counting and everyone had exactly one minute to hide. Many hid in the play area, while others were hidden under tables, the ball pit and even made little fortresses with cushions so that they weren't spotted. Y/n decided to hide in the play structures along with two other kids.

"Ready or not here we come!!" Sundrop said from afar and started running along with the little girl to go find everyone. They were finding a lot of children all around the place, they were very good at hiding, there was even one who was hiding on the slide. The little girl found some children in the play structures but being so small there were areas she could not reach alone.

"What's up little girl? Did you find everyone?" Sundrop asked, kneeling down to the little girl's level.

"I don't know, I couldn't reach the top of the playground" she pointed her finger at the part she couldn't reach.

"No worries! I can make it up there, I'll be right back" He exclaimed quickly entering the play area and began to climb. On the way he found 5 of kids and now only they were only missing the 2 kids that were hidding with Y/n.

"Come out, come out! You're not winning this one!!" Sundrop said crawlling around the structures.

Y/n could hear him not so far away and whispered to the other boys "Shh! He's getting closer.."

"I HEARD THAT!" Sundrop shouted scaring the three of them. The boys began to laugh but Y/n was still breathing a little heavily.

"We talked about this!!" She shouted.

"Hehe, I'm sorry.."

The four of them got out of the play structures which meant the game have ended. Soon everyone returned to their own thing, excepting for the little girl who helped Sundrop seek, she thanked him for choosing her and then left. As she was leaving Sundrop waved goodbye to her and Y/n was behind him with her arms crossed, staring at him with a death glare.

"Are we doing a starring contest?!" He asked excited.

"What?- No! I told you to stop scaring the fu-" she paused "Scaring me!" Y/n yelled kinda angry.

"Oh no.. Did I break a rule? I didn't mean to break the rules!! Please don't hate me...!" He said in a very anxious way.

"No no!! That's not what I meant! I'm just slightly upset about it, you didn't break any rule" She explained.

"So you don't hate me?"

"No-" She didn't even get to finish when Sundrop hugged her tightly and lifting her from the ground.

"Thank you, thank you very much! You have no idea how worried I was!!" he said tightening the hug.

"Right, It- It won't happen again..!" She said almost out of air. Sundrop then let her go and Y/n took a deep breath as she watched him leave to keep playing with the kids.

"I guess I shouldn't give Sundrop a scare either..."
