"Great Veles, Lord of the underworld and God of magic, bless my soul here at Hogwarts, for my magic is restricted and weak, help me to keep my power, assist me to be great, for my family and my country. My faith shall never slip, for your charitable help is always appreciated , but now I am in need of your guidance." Evangeliya prayed to her diety in Bulgarian, the Slavic God of Magic and departed souls.
She had kicked Medusa, Rosetta and Walburga out of the dorm, informing them that Bulgarian magic was a sacred practice, and that she needed an empty room and clear head. Of course, the three understood and made their way into the boys dormitories until she had completed her ritual.
It was a basic ritual, a power booster. She included basic herbs and crystals for this purpose. Bay leaf, ebony, diamond, mugwort, emerald, acorn, agate, black salt, however some of these things had protective properties.
Evangeliya had done her best to create a scared space, given the circumstances, it wasn't really to her liking, but enough to suffice.
In Slavic culture, sacred spaces are a very important counterpart for a ritual. They are a place of peace, therefore any kind of conflict is not welcome within the space, for the space of ritual can not be clouded by such.
Fire as well holds a central position in the sacred space. Fire makes the Gods present, and so Evangeliya knew that Vele was with her, for her tall black candle's flame flicked harshly.
When she closed her circle, she felt more at peace. She sat in her bed for a moment, absorbing any power she could, soaking it in before she got up to retrieve her friends.
She made her way to the boys dormitories, and knocked on the door three times.
Mulciber opened the door, and smiled a charming smile at her once they made eye contact. "Well hello, gorgeous. Would you like to join us?"
Evangeliya looked over Mulciber's shoulder to see everyone sitting in a circle.
"We're playing a game!" Walburga yelled with a big large smile, slurring her words.
Evangeliya looked at Mulciber suspiciously, and he gave her an innocent smile. "She's plastered."
"I see." She slanted her eyes slightly, unimpressed.
"Well if you aren't going to play, at least come in." Said Mulciber. "I reckon you don't want to sit in your dormitory all alone."
Evangeliya thought about it for a moment, and he was correct, her ritual had ended, she really didn't feel the need to sit alone for possibly hours when she had been invited to join.
She slipped past Mulciber without a word of agreement, leaving him in the door way to stare ahead where she was just standing with a toothy smirk.
"So what is this game you all are playing?" She asked the group as she sat down on one of the beds closest to the circle.
"Okay!" Walburga said. "So basically you... you..."
"Basically the game is," Rosetta went on for her. "You spin the bottle, whoever it lands on gets a choice, you can pick a truth, meaning the person who spun the bottle asks you a question, and to make sure you tell the truth, you take this." Rosetta held up a chocolate square with a smile.
"And what is that?" Evangeliya asked her friend.
"It's a square of chocolate, however, Lestrange added veritaserum to it, it only lasts five minutes, he put a special charm on it so that it wouldn't last it's full course, therefore you can tell your truth honestly and then avoid the embarrassment of being entirely truthful." Lestrange was smiling proudly as Rosetta explained his work. He had made over a hundred of them per Walburga's request.
