A tortured scream left the fae's mouth as the whip hit her back over and over again. Nothing she's ever experienced compared to the fiery pain the whip caused. Due to living a shelter life, she rarely felt any physical pain. There was one time where she was watching the other young fae play: she wanted to with them, but her father thought it wasn't royal-like. Usually, the others just smiled and waved at her, then went back to playing. One time though, somebody threw the ball at her, thinking she wanted to join them. It hit her right in the face, breaking her nose. The pain was terrible, but nothing like the pain from the whip. Not even close.

Hot tears decorated the fae's face as she struggled against the ropes bounding her in place. She was going to die here. She was going to die in some random slaughterhouse, where no one would ever find her. The poor fae never even properly met her soulmate.

"When is that damn fallen angel going to get here?" The demon with the whip sneered, hitting the fae harder. He had no reason to hurt her. Zion wouldn't feel it like he could with his mate. But seeing the fae's tears and blood put a smile on his disgusting face.

The broken fae couldn't respond. Her mind could only focus on the pain. Her vision started getting fuzzy and her head was pounding. She was on the brink of passing out. Who knew how many more lashes she could take?

As her vision faded and her head pain grew, she prayed that Zion and Malak would save her soon.

"Fuck," Zion grumbled.

It took longer than he had hoped, but he had finally found the location of the demons. There was a mechanic shop in the city that everyone avoided. Apparently, the mechanics gave off creepy vibes. No one ever went there because of it; honestly, most of the residents in the city wondered how the shop stayed open.

Despite the fact that he found the shop, there were at least a dozen demons inside. A fight would be tough, especially since Malak was still frazzled and the nephilim couldn't handle himself earlier. It'd be Zion against all the demons which wouldn't be that bad if he could actually control, his powers. The demon didn't understand how his angel could control his powers. It was much easier for him to be angry and let them loose. Though, to be fair, the demon was a naturally angry being. It was incredibly easy to piss him off, or at the very least, annoy the Hell out of him.

Malak had an idea. Not a good one. In fact, it was rather stupid. He'd most likely get hurt, but to him, it was worth it. It would be the best way to distract the demons and save Ellette. All he had to do was convince his demon – now that would be harder than his plan.

"Zye," Malak whispered, shyly tugging his shirt. "I – I have a plan."

The demon rose an eyebrow at his small mate. Malak blushed, looking down at his feet. He knew his mate wouldn't like his plan, but he didn't know any other option. The angel took released a shaky breath before telling his mate the plan. And he was right –

The demon didn't like it.

"Hello?" The angel's soft voice echoed through the mechanic shop. It took a lot of convincing to get Zion to allow him to go in alone. It was the only time they argued, and Malak didn't want to do it again. But rescuing Ellette was important to him. He wouldn't let her get hurt.

The blond angel could feel the demons, causing him to shiver. His body tensely moved to the empty front desk. His lip was raw from biting it. He was kind of regretting this, despite knowing this was all for Ellette. The regret and fear grew as he saw three muscular demons walked out. Another demon walked behind, probably as buff as the others.

He nervously swallowed. The demons looked no where near as powerful as his mate; however, he knew they could beat him to a pulp. Still, he continued with his plan. "I am sorry!" He squeaked. "You guys seem busy. I – I will go. Sorry for bothering you guys!"

The small being swiftly turned around, pretending to leave. The demon that was behind him stopped Malak from leaving. An embarrassing yelp escaped the angel's lips causing the demons to chuckle. "Why would you leave, Darlin'?" The demon teased.

Zion heard Malak's heart sped up a bit. Angel, are you okay? Zion inquired through their mind link. All the demon wanted to do was rush in there and beat up the demons, but that wasn't part of his mate's plan. He had to wait until more demons were out there and distracted. Then he and Alexander could sneak in and find Ellette. After, he can beat those damned demons up and send them straight to Hell.

I am okay, Zion. I promise I will tell you if I need help. Malak replied, easing his demon's anxiety.

"Please, let go. I do not mean to bother you," he whispered.

The three demons behind the counter and two from the back walked closer to the angel. He was completely surrounded with no hope of escaping. "Why would you want to leave us, Lil' One?" One of the demon's whispered before nipping at the angel's neck.

"I – I – Please, let me go," he fearfully whimpered. "I can find somewhere else to go. I do not want to bother."

Another demon said, "Awe, Kitten, we are just startin' to have some fun."

Malak shook his head, trying to back away, but ran into the demon behind him. The demon roughly grabbed his waist, causing the angel to speak. He really didn't like this. Neither did his mate, who lowly growled outside. Zion didn't care anymore. Half the demons were distracted by his mate. He and Alexander snuck into the shop into the back. So far, no demons noticed them.

"You're so cute, Darlin'," one of the demons growled, nipping his ear. "I think we should play. Don' you?"

"I do not want to. I really would like to go," the angel replied tearfully. He wasn't sure how much longer he could handle this plan. His heart yearned for the safety of his mate.

Zion and Alexander split up. The demon hoped that Alexander could at least knock out the two demons, while he took on the four. Thankfully, Alexander easily knocked them out with a long pipe. Somehow, he managed to knock both of them down at once. The commotion caused the others to look at him. However, Zion managed to summon his powers using his mate's anxiety, which he could feel because of the bond. He forced all of them to fly against the wall. Effectively knocking them out. They looked at each other before heading to the only other door in the shop. Hopefully, where Ellette was being held.

The demons chuckled at the small angel. They never saw a being so adorable, and they wanted him. No matter what. "Sorry, Lil' One, but we're gonna have ya. No matta' what," the demon said, giving a nod to the demon directly in front of the angel.

"Sorry 'bout this, Lovely. Next time we have ya, you can be awake," he said with a malicious smile.

Malak's eyes grew wide when he saw the fist coming towards him.

Zion-

Zion froze when he heard his mate call his name. He quickly knocked down the locked down causing Ellette to weakly jump from fright. Alexander rushed to her and started to get her free while Zion rushed to the front where his mate was.

A thunderous growl rang through the shop. The vile demons were undressing his unconscious mate. Zion was pissed. No one stood a chance.
