The cabin was calm. The only sounds that could be heard were those of nature and an angel's light-footed steps quietly running through the home. His demon was sound asleep; however, not for much longer as the angel excitedly jumped on their bed, before kissing his mate awake.
With his eyes closed, the demon grabbed his mate's waist and switched positions, so he was on top. The kiss deepened as the passion between the two arose. Both wanted to do more but knew they couldn't.
"Zion, we must stop-" The angel giggled as his demon kissed his nose.
"It's your fault for waking me up like that," his demon retorted playfully.
While still holding onto his mate, Zion flopped both of them onto their sides with a sigh. His angel cuddled closer, curling his body, and resting his head on Zion's arm. "Maybe I will not wake you up like that again, if you do not like it," The angel teased. The two had spent months together without needing to worry about a war, which meant the angel had plenty of time to understand flirting, even doing it back to Zion every now and then,
"Now, I never said that!" The demon stated, feigning sadness. "You should definitely wake me up like that all the time."
"All the time?" The angel playfully said, looking up at his mate with a small smile.
"All the time."

"I don't see why they have to come. I could teach you how to bake," Zion complained as Malak tried to get him to put on a shirt. Of course, the angel loved looking at his mate shirtless – though he did prefer looking more at his mate's butt, being shirtless was not quite appropriate attire for guests coming over. Especially, since one of them is the King of Hell,
"Because you cannot bake very well. You are much better at cooking," the angel bluntly stated, though with love. "Lucifer is going to teach me how to make these lava cakes and then I will make them for us! Plus, Seth said he can dye my hair dark pink so we can match, and I am very excited."
The demon chuckled, "You'll look great, Angel. Though I still rather spend my time alone with you."
Malak's cheeks reddened at his mate's suggestive tone. Shaking his head, he playfully told his mate to put a shirt on. Thankfully, the demon listened.
Their life together was amazing. They were finally able to be carefree and truly get to know everything about each other. He and his demon spent all their time together in a small little cottage in the woods. Enjoy each other's company and spend time with the random creatures who wandered into their backyard. Sometimes, like today, their friends would visit, and it was always wonderful. But most of the time, it was the two of them, alone together, which always felt magical. No matter what. Malak could have never imagined such a life for himself yet here he was, finally happy. They both were.
