Madison rushed through her shopping, gathering all the stuff she needed to counteract the poison. Thankfully, it didn't take a long time for the antidote to be done. She carefully put it in a bottle so it wouldn't spill. Not only was it important to give the potion to his soulmate right away, but the ingredients were incredibly rare and expensive. Madison didn't mind giving them the potion for free since she was a kind and caring being. However, if she needed to create a second one, she might have to charge them.

After the potion was done, she decided to give them a few weapons. The weapons would help her in the future, though she didn't know what exactly was in store for them. She just had a gut feeling they needed them, and she never went against her gut.

"Here's everything you need. Oh! And here-" She handed the fae a shiny violet pearl- "Throw this one the ground if you ever need me!"

"Thank you, Madison" the fae replied, loving how her name rolled off her tongue.

Madison loved it also. With a bright smile, she cheerfully replied, "No problem-"

"Ellette, or Elle if you prefer." Nobody's ever called her by that nickname. It was disrespectful to call her anything but her title according to the faes. But her mate deserved to call her by her nickname.

Somehow, the witch's smile grew bigger. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Elle. I hope we see each other again soon," she said.

"Me too," the fae happily replied before leading the anxious angel out of the shop. He carefully held the potion while the fae took everything else.

His nerves consumed him, causing the angel to bite his lip until it bled. Hopefully, the potion would help Zion. He trusted the witch and knew this area was her expertise. Though he wasn't sure he should get his hopes up.

As soon as their temporary house came into view, the young angel rushed to his mate but made sure the potion wasn't going to spill. Thankfully, the witch put a lid on it so it didn't spill while the angel ran. Zion woke upright as his mate ran into his room. The angel explained quickly what he and the fae did, then showed his demon the potion. Malak had to help him drink it since he was too weak to do it himself.

Right when he finished, Zion was knocked out, causing the angel to worry. He was worried that the witch had tricked them and had been working with the stupid human the entire time. Of course, that wasn't the case. Ellette assured him that.

"How can you be so sure?" He inquired, playing with the sleeping demon's hair. He really liked how soft it was.

"Because she's my mate," Ellette confidently stated.

The angel titled his head and asked her, "Then why did you not stay with her? Are you doing what Zion did to me?"

"What did he do to you?"

The angel shrugged, replying, "He ran away once he had realized we were mates. He was afraid he was not good enough for me and that he would hurt me."

"I guess I'm doing the same," she said with a sigh. "As much as I want to be with her, I'm worried. By helping you and Zion, I'm putting myself in danger until we've stopped the last horseman. If I decided to mark my mate, then she'd been in danger as well."

"I guess that makes sense. I have a question if you do not mind. What or how do you mark your mate."

"It's a way for other beings to claim their mates and show other beings that they're taken. For fae, all we have to do is kiss. But for you and Zion, since he's a fallen angel and not a pure demon, you'll have to complete intercourse. If he was a pure demon, then he'd have to bite you and inject his venom into you."

"I am very glad he does not have to do that. I would like to mark him though. It seems very special."

"It is."

"Thank you for telling me, Ellette."

"Of course, Malak. You can ask me anything you'd like."

"Maybe," the angel trailed off, trying to determine his next words carefully. "Maybe we could learn more about each other. I know I was not the most open being when we first meant. Frankly, I did not trust you and I guess, I still do not know if I should. Nevertheless, you helped Zion and that means a lot."

Ellette softly smiled at the angel. She could sense the angel's internal battle. It was hard for him to open up to others which made her feel quite happy that he chose to open up a bit to her. So, she happily agreed. They spent hours talking and she finally got to see the true angel. He was happy, energetic, and curious. The being had lots of energy and seemed like a little kid which made the fae happy. It was hard not to be when he was so happy himself.

It was nearly midnight when they finally stopped talking. They would've continued if Zion hadn't startled them with a loud groan. Finally, after hours of sleep, the demon was awake. But was he okay?
