I'll say it again - Sorry Roman stans

TW: Violence (strangling, punching, throwing against the wall), passing out, bruises, brief mentions of blood, sexual references and innuendos (honestly though, you should expect this), joking mention of jealousy, mentions sharp objects, bullying, crying, mentions of fires and burns, mentions of being mauled.

The new kid, or Virgil, walked away from the reception with tense shoulders and shot nerves. To Virgil, every step was way too loud and his face was far too hot.

Remus rolled his eyes and cackled, walking just barely ahead until they came to a sitting area in the hallway, with beanbags large enough to fit a giant being the only source of vibrant colour in the dark, warm coloured hallways. There was a giant window in front of the sitting area, illuminating it with the light of the bright winter sky.

"You nerds are all the same when it comes to socialising. You're worse than Logan!" He snickered as Virgil glared at him, shrugging nonchalantly.

"What's that supposed to mean? Who is Logan?" Remus shrugged and threw his hands over his eyes, falling into one of the beanbags and narrowly avoiding the bookshelves against the wall. Virgil narrowed his eyes and sat down normally.

"A friend of mine. Training to be a teacher, as of last month, actually. Huge nerd, not great with emotions or informal socialising." Remus chuckled, looking at Virgil through a gap between his fingers.

Virgil blinked at him. "...Right... Umm, can you help me get to my next class? I kinda need a tour-" Virgil sighed, handing his timetable to Remus and wincing as their hands brushed. Remus thought it was weird but paid it no mind - probably something to do with his death.

"Oh, yeah, sure. So, you have gym after this period, but we still have 20 minutes before that. Hey, that's enough for a quickie! Sure we'd be cutting it close but-" Virgil hissed, effectively cutting Remus off.

"No."

"Fine." Remus pouted and dragged the 'i' on. "I have a boyfriend anyways, though it is fun when he gets jealous. He poun-" Virgil hissed once more, louder this time to silence Remus.

"Can we just move on? Please-" Remus rolled his eyes and nodded, gesturing towards the boxes on the paper one by one.

"Right, so, you have counselling every Monday and Wednesday. Everyone does when they first spawn in, since some people need help with processing their deaths. The counsellors' office is in the library building, but usually a portal opens up for you if you have an appointment." Remus grinned and pulled Virgil up from the beanbags, earning a small squeal from the other.

Remus pointed out the window, towards the 'sky', even though that's what Virgil looked at last.

He couldn't help but gasp at the scene. Tiny shards falling from above, glistening as light bounced off of the prismatic fragments, like little shards of glass descending from the heavens. Down below some creatures were jumping around in the... Snow? Each little shard caused a ripple in the clearly thick layer of 'snow', the area liquifying before turning into a texture Virgil was used to seeing on earth. The creatures were trudging through, some shovelling away the snow to reveal a frosted grey pathway, presumably for the ground bound creatures to walk on. There were a lot of sheets of ice, too, thick sheets that Virgil couldn't really see through that well. At least, not from here.

Which made sense, since the school was on a pretty high foundation.

"Wait- Remus?" Remus hummed, stopping his train of thought and putting down his phone. He didn't think Virgil was listening to him talk anyway. "If it's so cold outside... Where did I 'spawn' in? It was like spring..."
