Chapter 4

Antonio's ceremony day

Today was little Antonio's gift ceremony
I am so excited

I wonder if what Mirabel told me was true
It sort of seemed like it seeing the way Camilo acted
I mean he is pretty cute
Wait there's no time for that you have to get ready

(You can pick an outfit cuz I literally have no ideas)

Let me just add some jewelry and we're done

As me and my family arrived at the house I noticed Camilo was the one greeting everyone
We were pretty much the last ones so
He greeted my family and he looked me up and down

"you look great Mariposa !" He said taking my hand and giving it a kiss

"Well aren't you quite the charmer." I joked

He held an arm out as I took it I see Mirabel whisper something to Dolores she says something else but I couldn't make out what it was

Me and Camilo hang out for a while until he has to go up to the door with the rest of his family

The crowd gets quiet as Antonio is standing alone about to walk up the stairs he calls someone over to go with him and Mirabel goes and holds his hand walking him right before the steps

She comes over to me she looks sad
"Hey Mirabel are you okay ?" I ask putting my hand on her shoulder
"Hm? Yeah I'm fine let's see what gift Antonio gets."

~time skip to after everyone is in Antonio's room~

As everyone was dancing and chatting I see Camilo walk up to me and holds his hand out

"May I have this dance Mariposa ?"

I let out a small laugh and take his hand

"You are acting so weird it's almost like you have a crush on me." I say with a smirk

Woah y/n where did that come from

Camilo was obviously taken aback by what I said but as the song ended he dipped me
I was inches from his face
Then he said

"Maybe I do" he pulled me back up
I was speechless

Wtf was that !!!??? Normally I'm not one to get flustered but

Then Mirabel burst into the room

"The magic is in danger ! There were cracks all over the walls it was going for the candle !"

Everyone gasped and whispered
Abuela stepped out and came back in
She assured everyone the magic was fine and so was casita

I don't think Mirabel is the type to say something like this and it not be true

I saw her step out of the room and I ran after her
Camilo followed

I saw Mirabel sitting on the stairs with her head on her knees

I sat to her left and Camilo sat to her right I put my hand on her shoulder

"Hey whatever happened I believe you okay ?"

She looked up with tears in her eyes

"Casita was in trouble I saw it there were cracks on the walls and it was going to the candle I even cut my hand because one of the tiles fell."

"Hey you should tell your mom to make you something." Camilo said pointing to her hand

"I will but I need to know what's going on with casita."

"And I'm helping you Mirabel" I say giving her a hug as we stand up

"You're crazy if you think I'm not in on this too." Camilo said as he ruffled Mirabel's hair

"You guys should go back to the party." Mirabel says

"You sure ?" I ask

She nods

We head back up to Antonio's room and hang out for the rest of the party
