Chapter 3

Time skip to the time the movie takes place

Camilo pov:
Tomorrow's the day my little brother gets his gift
He seems nervous I wonder what he'll get

I head into town I'm gonna be babysitting some kids it shouldn't be too hard
I get there and it's only like 3 kids this'll be easy
As I'm playing with them a little girl runs up to me
"Camilo ! Camilo!" She tugs on my arm

"Woah what's up little one ?"

"Can we go play with mariposa ?"

"Mariposa ? Who's that ?"

Then I see someone fly up with 2 kids in their arms.
Woah... wait a minute they look familiar
The person lands laughing with the kids

The little girl speaks "Look ! Look ! That's her!" She runs to her

She finally looks up at me and stops laughing she looks me up and down wide eyed and a big smile forms on her face

"Oh my gosh Camilo is that you ?!" She runs over to me putting down the kids she was holding

Then it clicked
Of course it was her
I thought those 3 days were a dream

"Y/n ?!" I say and she pulls me into a hug

The kids look at us confused
"Are you guys dating ?" One of them asks with a smirk

"No little one we just knew each other when we were younger" I explain

Y/n laughs

Wow she is gorgeous

"Yeah and you were super shy back then" she points at me

"I was" I say rubbing the back of my neck with one hand
"What are you doing back here ?" I ask

"Well I said I'd be back one day didn't I ?" The smile never leaving her face
"No but I live here now I just got here a couple hours ago I was walking around when these guys came up to me and started asking questions." She says as she hugs one of the kids as they laugh

I look at her then at her wings

"Hey I didn't know you could fly." I say

"Oh yeah isn't it awesome !" She says as she hovers a little

One of the kids yells
"Pick me up Mariposa !"
Y/n picks up the kid and they spin in the air giggling and laughing

"Hey wait I'm supposed to be the fun one here !" I say looking at the kids

Then they all come over to me and ask me to throw them up in the air

I throw one and y/n swoops in and catches them and they do a spin then she puts them down

We do that for a while until the parents show up to get their kids by this time it's already sunset

I see y/n walking out I run to catch up with her

"So what have you been up to all this time Camilo ?"
She asks

"Nothing much Mariposa." I respond

"Hey ! How's Mirabel ?? Can we go see her ?" She asks excitedly

"Yeah of course just follow me."

We walk over to casita and Mirabel is walking towards the woods

Y/n jumps up and starts flying towards Mirabel
She lands right in front of her

"Mirabel !!" She pulls her into a hug

"Who are—" she gasps
"Y/n ?! I know those wings" she says laughing

"Wow what a touching reunion" Camilo jokes

"Oh be quiet Camilo. Y/n what are you doing back ?"

"I live here now." She says

"Wow you look gorgeous your wings are so pretty!
Right Camilo ?" She says giving me a smirk

"Uh yeah uh huh" I can feel my face heat up

Mirabel pulls y/n close and whispers something in her ear
Y/n looks at me and laughs a little

"Really ?" She says turning to Mirabel

Mirabel nods

"Hey I still have this" she pulls a yellow flower out of her hair

"Is that the flower I gave you ?" I ask her
She nods

"How is it still alive ?"

"Don't you remember ? Isabella made that flower and her flowers don't die. You were so nervous asking her to make you that one." Mirabel teased

Y/n holds back a laugh

"I was not ! Hey I don't know what she told you but it's not true." I say crossing my arms

"Oh I'm sure it's not don't worry." Y/n says ruffling my hair

"Hey it's getting late I have to get home but it was awesome getting to see you guys again." She says pulling me into a hug
I hug her back and Mirabel starts looking at me smugly

She lets go of me and goes to hug Mirabel
"Hey you're coming to my little cousins ceremony right ?"

"Hm ? Oh yeah ! It's been the talk of the town I'll definitely be there." She let's go of Mirabel and starts walking away

"Bye mariposa." I say waving

"See you tomorrow Camilo !" She says waving back

I turn to Mirabel
"ByE MaRiPoSa" she says mocking me

"What did you tell her ?!" I whisper yell

"Oh nothing nothing at all just that you had a crush on her when we were five." She says quickly and runs off

"MIRABEL—" but she ran off before I could yell at her

Oh my god those feelings are definitely back now that y/n is too
I remember thinking those days were a dream seeing her in the woods the moon making her wings glisten I totally forgot I told Mirabel I liked her
