Chapter 12

Y/n pov:

So tired...

I slowly open my eyes I feel someone's arm around me
I look to see who it is and it's Mirabel
Around us is some furniture
I sit up Mirabel slowly turns her head to me

"I'm sorry." She says tears running down her face

I look down and see the candle the flame completely out
Julieta rushes over to us

"Are you girls okay ? Are you hurt anywhere ?"

We nod
Pepa calls Julieta over
I try standing up stumbling a bit as a wave of dizziness hits me
I close my eyes and put a hand on my head

"Y/n!!" I hear a familiar voice call me

I open my eyes and see Camilo standing in front of me with tears in his eyes
He pulls me into a hug

"Are you okay ?" He asks me his voice shaky

"Yeah but I feel like we ask each other that a lot." I say hugging him back

We stay like that for a few seconds
Until he backs up and cups my face

"Can I kiss you now ?" He asks
I can almost see a little sparkle in his eyes

I nod yes and he leans in
He kisses me
I wrap my arms around his neck to pull him closer
I can feel that dumb smile of his forming
We separate and he puts his forehead against mine
He picks me up by my waist and spins me around both of us laughing

"Couldn't wait any longer could you cariño ?" I say teasingly

"Not a minute more Mariposa." He says with a sweet smile but it quickly fades and he looks down at his hand

"You're powers are gone ?" I ask him taking him by the hand so we can sit down somewhere

"Yeah I guess so." He says as I lead him outside all the rubble and onto the grass where I sit down leaning against what used to be a wall patting the spot next to me

"You gonna be okay ?" I ask worried
He sits down next to me and puts his head on my shoulder

"Mhm." He turns to look at me and his eyes widen as he gasps

"What ? What is it ?"
He looks at something behind me and I turn to look

My wing is torn
My right one half gone

"But how ?" I ask myself putting a hand over my mouth

Julieta rushes out of the fallen house looking around
"Have you seen Mirabel ?" She asks us frantically

"No why?" Camilo and I both stand up

"She's not here."

"What? Where could she have gone?"

"I don't know but please help me look for her."

"Of course señora. Come on."

~time skip~

We had looked for the rest of the day it was starting to get late
Julieta came up to me and told me to go home and rest
I asked her where they would be staying and she said they would figure it out
I offered to at least take Antonio to my place

I picked up Antonio but I didn't think a certain someone would be tagging along as well

Camilo walked tiredly beside me as I carried a sleepy Antonio in my arms

We got to my house and I opened the door
