I let go of the branch. I saw a broken off slab of rock, and remembered how much I loved to snowboard. I grabbed the slab and slid down. I hoped with all my mind that the others would be OK. I coated the ground behind me with acid and tried to channel the flow, but it didn't work. I slided down to my doom. Huh, well this is how Bastille felt. I thought. One of my favorite songs was happening before my very eyes.

And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above

But if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like
Nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like
You've been here before?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

How could he be an optimist about this. I surfed down the mountain. I looked over my shoulder and saw great clouds rolling over the hills, bringing darkness from above. This Bastille guy really knew what he was talking about. I saw the city getting closer. At least I'd go down a hero. The flow got closer. I blacked out from the heat, just as I felt something grab my shoulders and lift me up.
