Chapter 69: Things we do in Love

As Anirudh drove through the bustling streets Bondita wondered what she did and what Anirudh said. She couldn't help but smile a bit. Anirudh looked at her and asked, "Kya baat hai? Muskura rahi ho?"

Bondita came back from her wonderland and cleared her throat. "Nahi toh."

Anirudh gave a questioning look but didn't ask anything further. He suddenly slowed down the car making Bondita look at him.

"Kya hua? Gaadi dheere kyun chala rahe hai?" Bondita asked while Anirudh just got out of the car. "Tum Ghar jaate hi chup jaogi. Milne toh waali ho nahi. Toh socha aise hi samay bitana sahi rahega."

Bondita gaped at him as her eyes went wide. She tried to form words but couldn't utter anything. She looked away and huffed with irritation. Anirudh chuckled and looked at her.

Suddenly the car stopped with a jerk making  both of them lean forward. Bondita rubbed her forehead and winced in pain.

Anirudh turned towards her and held her face softly. "I..I am sorry. Lag gayi zor se?".

He blew on the spot where she got hurt and rubbed it affectionately. Bondita stared at him as he took care of her wound. She closed her eyes as felt his warm breath over her eyes and lips.

Anirudh had held her face softly but in a firm grip due to which her cheeks got squished making her lips slightly apart. Bondita kept her palm over his and pressed it gently. He looked below and his breath hitched seeing the proximity they were in.

Humein tumse pyaar kitna
Yeh hum nahi jaante
Magar jee nahin sakte, tumhare bina

Bondita slowly looked at him and she could see a tiny spark in his eyes. His eyes travelled from her eyes to her lips. He once again looked at her as he traced her bottom lip softly making Bondita clasp his hand tightly, and close her eyes.

Anirudh smiled and leaned forward. He tilted his head and whispered in her ears, "Mei yeh ehsaas special banana chahunga, aur woh tab hoga jab tumhe mana lunga. Tab tak ke liye idhr hi thehar jaana sahi rahega, haina..jaan?"

"Mei..mei aapki koi jaan waan nahi hoon." Bondita stuttered and moved back and looked at him, her face creeping with warmness while he just stared at her with a smile. He too moved back while Bondita turned in her seat facing the front. Anirudh rotated the keys but the car didn't start.

Anirudh tried again and again but it didn't start. Bondita let out a deep breath annoyed. She grabbed her belongings, opened the door and walked out.

"B..Bondita ruko. Kaha Jaa Rahi ho?" Anirudh shouted and came out of the car he ran behind her. Anirudh held her arm making her turn.

"Kaha Jaa Rahi ho?" Anirudh asked catching his breath. "Ghar." Bondita replied blankly. "Par gaadi?" Anirudh muttered softly while Bondita sighed and said "Mayur ki gaadi beech beech mei dhake khaati hai. Mei usko keh dungi. Chaliye ghar!"

Anirudh silently followed and walked behind her. He smiled like a fool and ran a little to match with her steps but stumbled. Bondita held him by holding his hands when she heard his squel.

"Aapko haathon mei yeh chaale?" Bondita asked confused while Anirudh pulled back his hand and muttered, "It's nothing."

"Kya matlab it's Nothing? Batayenge hua kya hai?" Bondita asked worried. "Kuch nahi hua hai Bondita. It's fine." Anirudh said with a smile and started to walk ahead.

Bondita hesitantly held his hand softly and started to walk with him. Anirudh smiled and looked away so that she wouldn't be able to see the stupid grin he had on his face.
