Chapter 59: Rishte

The Roy Chowdhuries and Senguptas were chatting and talking. Trilochan and Pranshul were talking about their old days while Binoy was talking with the groom's Father. Anika was with Gunjan, and her beloved Kaki's inside the house.

Somnath, Batuk and Kishore were speaking amongst themselves. Kishore noticed Anirudh entered through the door, lost somewhere.

"Anirudh Dada. Idhar aayiye na. Kahan khoye huye jaa rahe ho?" Kishore speaked out loud grabbing Somnath's and Batuks attention. Anirudh looked at the direction from where his name was called. Composing himself he walked with a smile.

Anirudh greeted Kishore and congratulated him for the wedding. Kishore smiled and acknowledged. The four of them sat on the ground.

" Anirudh Dada, badi tamana thi aap se milne ki. Dadu se aapke parivaar ke baare mei, khaskar apke kaka aur apke baare mei suna tha. Bondita didi ne bhi aapke baare mei kaafi kisse sunaye hai." Kishore spoke with a smile.

The last line caught Anirudh's attention and he looked at Kishore. " Bondita ne mere baare mei kaha hai tumse?"

" Sirf mujhse hi nahi Mayur dada aur Radha se bhi. Radha toh khushi se pagal ho jayegi jab woh aapse milegi. Bohot maanti hai woh aapko. Haa par Bondita didi se kam" Kishore said while Anirudh nodded with a smile.

Somnath too smiled while Batuk was keenly observing Anirudh. Still looking at Anirudh's face, he asked Kishore " Waise Mayur dada aur Bondita ki dosti bohot gehri hai na."

Kishore smiled, Somnath gave a look to Batuk being amused while Anirudh too looked at Batuk but with a different emotion. " Yeh baat sahi kahi aapne. Bohot gehri dosti hai dono ki. Bondita didi jis train se Bombay aayi thi ussi train mei Mayur dada se mili thi. Tab se hi dosti Hui hai unki."

" Par itni jaldi itni gehri dosti kaise?" Somnath asked while Kishore laughed and said " Asaan nahi tha dada. Mayur dada ko khub papad belne pade the Bondita didi ki dosti paane ke liye. Bondita didi ke aage peeche ghumna, unke liye ladna, unke liye woh sab kiya jo shyad ek pakki dosti mei bhi koi na kare."

Somnath and Batuk smiled and acknowledged while Anirudh was thinking something as he heard Kishore. Batuk as if he remembered something, suddenly asked " Kishore, jis din Bondita aayi thi ussi din kisi train mei toh aag lag gayi thi na?"

Anirudh and Somnath looked at Batuk and remembered the past.

Flashback

Anirudh who was still reading the letter Bondita left behind, got disturbed with a loud banging.
2.am. Looking at the time, he was confused. Who could be here at this hour? Wiping his face and composing himself he went downstairs after keeping the letter inside his pocket.

As he stepped down the stairs, he saw Trilochan and Binoy sitting with hands on their head while Somnath was on call with someone. Batuk was sitting near Durga Maa's idol and crying. Naina was trying to talk to Trilochan and Binoy while Tara was sitting near Batuk.

He saw few people near the entrance and got more confused. As he heard, he asked out loud "Kya ho raha hai yahan? Itni der raat sab log yahan?"

Binoy and Trilochan looked at Anirudh and then at eachother. Confused, whether they should tell him or not? Somnath kept the phone call with a tear stricken face and came towards Trilochan.

" Kaka woh.." Somnath stutterd while speaking. Trilochan and Binoy got up and asked " Bolo Som. Humara Dil baitha jaa raha hai. Bolo kuch." Said Trilochan.

Somnath fell down on his knees while Naina ran towards him and held him by his shoulders. Aniruddh concerned went to him and sat. " Som kya hua? Kya baat hai?"
