Anirudh and Bondita, were lost in each other. After all, they're meeting after so long away from each other. They stood in silence but their eyes spoke to each other. Communicated in a way that, even the owners didn't know. Oh, how dearly they looked at each other. They didn't know what to say, who should initiate the conversation. They just wanted to stay in the moment. What if, it is just a dream? What if the dream breaks again? What if, they again have to part ways again? When he heard her calling him "Pati Babu", his heart skipped a beat.
Anirudh, lost in her eyes, touched her cheek gently with his fingers. The softness, of her cheek, that he felt, was quite amusing for him. His thumbs grazed her cheek, feeling it again, after 6 long years. His restlessness, that made him quite uneasy, now felt calm. Taking a small deep breath, releasing, he saw Bondita closed her eyes, as the Sindoor made her eyes close. Holding her face gently, he blowed on her eyes, softly.
Bondita slowly opened her eyes, and saw him looking at her, lost. Feeling his palm on her cheeks, she kept her palm on his one side, and a tear fell down from her eye. She couldn't believe herself, that she was seeing him. Was it real? Or was it again, one of her hallucinations? She couldn't understand. All she knew was, she never wanted to get out of this moment. She wanted to stay there forever and ever.
Their thoughts and their eyecontact, suddenly broke when someone removed the red cloth from above their head.
" Bondita, are you okay?" Mayur asked turning her, by her shoulder, concern laced in his voice. His eyes stopped at her face which was covered with sindoor.
" Bahu.." Trilochan Roy Chowdhury whispered, his chadhi leaving his hand. His eyes formed little tears, as he came towards Bondita. " Humari Bahu?" Trilochan said coming infront of her. Bondita looked him with tear filled eyes and her hands trembling. She bent down to take his blessings, when Trilochan held lightly by her shoulders, stopping her. " Kaisi ho beta...Kahan chali gayi thi, apne kaka ho chod ke?" Trilochan said, his voice choking. Tears fell down his eyes too.
Bondita joined her hands and let out a sigh. She choked, while saying " Kaka saso.." stopped in midway. The flashback of 6 years ago came in front of Roy Choudhuries and Bondita.
" Kaka bula sakti ho tum hume beta. Haq hai tumhara.." Trilochan said with a smile, not reaching his eyes. Bondita smiled lightly, and turned her head to see, Binoy and others looking at her.
" Uncle..." Bondita said and moved towards him. Binoy, who had turned into a stone hearted person, looked at her, with concern. A fatherly concern. He removed his spectacles, and wiped his face. Bondita bent down to take blessings, when he moved back.
" Naraaz hai aap?" Bondita asked with hurt visible on her face. Binoy nodded in denial and said, " Betiyan paer nahi chuti Bondita.." saying this he kept his hand above her head, and ruffled her hairs. Bondita closed her eyes, feeling the fatherly love again.
Looking sideways, she saw Naina-Somnath and Batuk-Tara standing together. Batuk had turned his face, probably angry. But his face, it was clearly visible that he was crying a minitue ago.
Walking towards them, she looked at Naina and Tara, with a faint smile. " Kaisi ho dono.." she couldn't complete her sentence, as Naina and Tara, both hugged her, and cried out loud. Patting their head, she tried to calm them down. Breaking the hug, Naina said " Mei aap se bohot naraaz ho didi. Bohot bohot zyada. Aap bina bataye kaha chali gayi thi didi. Haan? Aapko nahi pata mujhe aapki kitni yaad aati thi. Aapko kitna miss karti thi.. " Naina was blabbering continuously when Tara intervened and said annoyingly " Saari shikayat aap hi karenge kya Naina boudi? Mujhe bhi karna hai.."
