" Kaka Bondita sirf ek dost hai, Anika ki Maa Ban sakti hai, par Meri patni nahi. Duniya waalon ke nazar mein bhale hi hum shaadi shuda hai, woh meri patni hai par asal zindagi mein nahi." Anirudh said looking at sky. He turned and giving a faint smile said "Meine sirf ek hi insaan se pyaar kiya hai, patni maana hai. Aur Kaka, pyaar bhi ek hi baar hota hai."

" Kab tak sach se bhagega Anirudh. Agar uss bachi ko patni nahi maanta toh azaad karde iss anchahe bandhan se. Kyun uski zindagi kharab kar raha hai." Kaka said in a tired tone.

" Baat sahi kar rahe hai aap Kaka. Ab bohot ho gaya." Anirudh said and sat on his chair. Kaka took a deep breath and left the study. On his way he saw Bondita and was taken a back. Bondita smiled and left the place. She went to the room and closed the door behind her. She lied on the bed and looked at the ceiling. A lone tear slided down her cheek but she didn't have any strength to wipe it.

A knock distributed her and her thoughts. She opened the door, her long tresses falling on her back. She saw Anika who was staring at her emotinlessly. Bondita bent to her height and lifted up her face by her chin. Anika looked at her. Her eyes were red. Anika wrapped her arms around Bondita and whispered in her ears, " Baba aapko bula rahe hai."

Bondita got up with Anika in her arms. Anika snuggled to her neck, hiding her face. As she walked down the stairs everybody looked at her. She came slowly towards Anirudh who was standing showing his back.

" Naina, Anika ko le jao." Anirudh said without turning back. Naina nodded and took Anika from Bondita's embrace. But Anika jumped and stood between Anirudh and Bondita. Anirudh turned and looked at Bondita. He handed her a file.

Bondita smiled as she was was inside it. She caressed the spot where he had signed. She looked at him, the tears fell down her cheeks but the smile was constant. "Bihari Kaka, kalam le aayiye."

Bihari looked at his Maalik who nodded in return. Bihari went inside the study and brought the pen. Bondita took it and before signing the papers, she looked at Anika. Anika bit her lips and scrunched her nose, trying hard not to cry. She rubbed her eyes and nose and giving a smile, she slowly nodded. Bondita took a deep breath and signed the papers.

They were finally divorced. The photoframe of the trio which was hung on the wall suddenly caught fire. The wire which was  near was worn out,  caused the fire. Bondita and Anirudh looked at each other and smiled lightly. Both turned and left for their ways.
