The first thing that I did was helped to set up YBY's site office in Seoul. There was huge demand for Kpop concerts across the SEA region, and setting up a local office, made a lot of commercial sense.
After staying here for almost a year, kinda like the Korean work culture and lifestyle. Was it easy to start a new life in another country, it really wasn't? But having friends like Aaron and his gang, helped a lot.
Aaron over this one year, has been my staunchest supporter. We would meet up for drinks and dinner, at least once a week. When I gotten too drunk to go to back to my mini rented unit, I would stay over, in the guest room...that's it. We never had sex again. You can say, we had become each other's gay bff....
Surprisingly, I was invited for Dil and Yang Yang's wedding in Shanghai. They had two wedding ceremonies, the bride's side was in Malaysia, but I couldn't make it. Just attended the groom's dinner and got the opportunities to rub shoulders with China's celebrities. If you think Malaysians' wedding are loud, you have obviously not attended China's wedding. I could safely say, at least 70% of their guests were pissed drunk, mua included.
And yes, I bumped into Jun there. And yes, he looked as smashing as ever. Came with his studio's juniors, inclusive of Lui Feng and Chai, but thankfully, we were seated apart. Kim was there, too, and immediately, she caught hold of me and started hitting me.
"What happened to the meal that you owed me? Purposely escape to Korea eh." Her glare was super powerful. "Sorry, sorry, been too busy. What I promised, I remember one." Rubbing my arm, to lessen the impact of her beatings.
"You will be in Shanghai until when? Why don't let me bring you for hotpot here? They are very popular." I promptly hugged her; it was really good to see a familiar face.
"No, I want to try out the Shanghai xiao long bao in Yuyuan Garden instead. You okay for breakfast? We are staying in Grand Hyatt, come and pick me up tomorrow at 9:00 am." This demanding woman.
The biggest difference between Shanghai Xiao Long Bao and Malaysia's is that, in Shanghai, they don't serve it with vinegar and sliced gingers. The skin also slightly thicker.
The orders came very quickly. We had both the normal and larger sized Xiao Long Bao. It went down very nicely with the Oolong tea we ordered.
