the pathetic gym

Hello boys and girls here is the next chapter of my Pokémon story which I have been writing chapters for at a rapid rate now that I notice it. Now for my question of the day and that is what did you think of the Cerulean city gym? Now before we answer I mean from the anime only so no games, personally I wonder why misty sisters were able to keep the gym if they weren't doing the job of being the gym leader. Personally I think that this was an oversight on the writers part but that is just me. Now let's get on with the chapter shall we?

Y/n POV

I walked into Cerulean city looking around, kind of reminded me of the city where I got lost and met that dark Pokémon though I suppose that is all cities do. I didn't want to waist much time looking around as I wanted the badge but I think I will stay here for a bit before heading out to do some training in the areas around this city. I then saw a Pokémon center and knew that I could get directions from there so I went into it seeing that it was not very busy, good for me bad for business. When I reached the front desk the Chansey, stood there and that is when I noticed that I have not scanned on in my Pokédex so I pointed it at Chansey.

Pokédex:"Chansey, A rare and elusive Pokémon that is said to bring happiness to those who manage to get it."

I nodded and did wonder why these Pokémon are so often in Pokémon centers if they are so valuable.

Y/n:"could you get me nurse joy or some other members of staff."

The Chansey, nodded and then walked off to get someone while I waited here on my own, soon after a minute a nurse Joy, came to the front desk.

Joy:"hello, how can I help you?"

I pulled my poké balls out of my pocket and place them on the front desk.

Y/n:"could you heal my Pokémon."

I then gently took Dratini, off of my neck and next to the poké balls.

Y/n:"and then could I get directions to the nearest Pokémon gym?"

Nurse Joy, seemed more interested in Dratini, who was quite a rare Pokémon. Then the Chansey, tapped her on her hip which got her out of her daze.

Joy:"sorry, it's just I have never seen a Dratini, before, there so rare."

I nodded.

Y/n:"it's fine, so where is the water type gym?"

Nurse Joy, then took the poké balls and Dratini.

Joy:"let me heal your Pokémon and I'll show you."

I nodded as she walked to a back room to heal them up for the big fight, if they are like Brock, then I would need to start trying to think of more ways to make a battle style that suits me. Soon as I waited for a few minute for nurse Joy, to get back I began to tap the front desk with my finger out of boredom. Soon just as I was feeling like I was about to fall to sleep nurse Joy, came back with her Chansey, nurse Joy, was holding a trey with five small poke balls on it along with Dratini.

Joy:"here you go sir."

I put the poké balls back into my pocket and let Dratini, sliver itself up my arm and to my neck where it wrapped itself round like a scarf.

Joy:"Okay and here is a map of the city."

She spread out a map of the city from me where there was a large building labelled gym but I couldn't see where the Pokémon center was.

Joy:"now we're here."

She pointed to a spot on the match which didn't look that far away from the gym.
