Ya better get use to Camping

I hear the bombs go off. There is so much screaming people are fighting each other. Dad and aunt Lori come running back. Then a voice "come on this way!" It's a guy in what looks like a pizza shop uniform I yell for Lady, jump in the car nearly hitting heads with Carl who jumped in at the same time on the other side. Lady bounds in. I slam the door. We follow the stranger over the ditch and thorough some bushes. A dirt road appears. The man is standing on the side of the road. "Dad stop he needs a ride" I speak up he is about to disagree " he saved us we can't leave him if he was going to hurt us he wouldn't of saved us!" I'm shouting but I don't care I won't let him leave us. Dad stops reluctantly.
The pizza man jumps in.
" thank you so much. I really need a ride I had to leave mine it got-" before he can finish dad snaps at him " tell us who the fuck yo are and why I shouldn't kick you out right now!" Pizza boy as I dubbed him is still standing in the car hunched over one hand on the head of the passenger seat and the other by his head on the ceiling. " oh yeah I guess I was rambling uhh I'm Glenn Reed and I know a quarry it may be safe because everyone was laid off months ago it's up in the mountains" dad looks like he doesn't trust Glenn " you think you want us to risk our lives the lives of children on a maybe?!" Dad really angry I don't know what is going to happen. "Do you have anywhere else to go?!" Glenn snaps back. "Fine sit down and if you try anything your dead you got that kid?" Dad is glaring at Glenn. Glenn nods I scoot over and pat my leg to get Lady to move over too, Glenn sits down he smiles at me I smile back I know my dad wouldn't want me too but I don't see why. We travel down the dirt road with Glenn's instructions, until we see more cars " this is the place" Glenn says. Dad stops the car he speaks "stay in the car not you Glenn you come with me." Dad talks to some of the people I can't see well in the sack so it's just the silhouettes I see. After a few minutes dad comes back tells us we can come up. Everyone gets out to greets the new people. When I get off of the car I see Sophia's parents car so they did follow us good. Will this be a safe place to stay will it be safe from the corpses? I'm not sure.
There are more people than I thought. A old man in a fishing hat speaks up "
your kids must be tired we can safe introductions for the morning it's close to midnight." I hadn't realize how tired I was until then I'm exhausted. We set up the two tents, Carl goes into the one with his mom and I craw in to my dad's as soon as I lay down I'm out still fully dressed.
The sunlight wakes me up I get up not bothering to change clothes. Once I'm out of the tent I see everyone is at breakfast they are eating canned foods . I sit down next to dad and Carl. Dad gives me his can it's half full "every one gets half a can of beans we are going to have to make it last" dad tells me I eat my breakfast it's cold but I'm to hungry to care. Dad stands up "ok so we are going to need gather up all the food together and see how much we have then we can ration it for every one so that everyone will eat" " why should we do that we don't even know each other's name how can you expect us to trust anyone how can I trust you I have my boys to worry about?!" A woman with short hair asked she is nearly shouting. " I got kids to protect too lady, we got to ration or people will starve do you want children to go hungry your food may not last that long this is better for everyone." Dad takes a breath rakes this hand through his hair " but your right we need to tell who we are I'll go first. I'm officer Shane Walsh I'm from Kings county , This is my son Jacob and by best friend's wife Lori and their son Carl. My son and I have a dog named Lady. All of us barely escaped when Kings county was over run we were going to Atlanta but then the government bombed the city. How about we go in a circle?"
Glenn is sitting next to aunt Lori so he is next " I'm Glenn Reed from Macon, Georgia I'm , I was a pizza delivery guy I had a lot of debt and and the verge of losing my car and apartment. It was looking like I was gonna have to go crawl back to my parents witch is the last thing I wanted to do."
A pair of blonde sisters is next " I'm Andrea I was a law firm clerk we were going to Atlanta for safety but well you know what happened and this is my younger sister Amy " after Andrea finishes Amy beings " when this all started Andrea was driving me to my college classes I was a physical education major, I could have flown but we wanted to have bonding time so road trip ya know"
Fish hat man is next " I'm Dale I was a salesman for over 40 years I spent my life behind a desk answering phones when I retired me and my wife bought and RV to travel. She die about 2 years ago. I found Amy and Andrea on my way to Atlanta." He seems nice
The husband of the woman who yell at dad speaks next he has dark hair and is pretty tall. Both his boys have a shaved head" I'm Allen I was a shoe salesman and my wife Donna she was a stay at home mom and our twin sons Ben and Billy we are from Gainesville, Georgia like all of you we hoped for safety in Atlanta and well.." he laughs uncomfortably
A  man in a jersey is next " my name is Theodore Douglas but call me T-Dog I'm afraid there's Not much to say I owned a sports store. Born and raised in Athens, Georgia. That's really it." He shrugged and looks awkward not liking all the attention but who dose.
I get tired of listening there was a lot more people a sweet lady named Jacqui who T-dog picked up on the road saving her life in the process. Then the Morales family who had kids near my age I realize I probably should pay attention.
After her another man speaks "Jim, mechanic." that's all he says. There is an awkward pause after that. " what about you Carol?" Dad asks trying to break awkwardness.
She smiles and looks up dreamy " Ed Sophia and I are a good family and My lovely Ed is the bread winner I'm just a house wife I sell Tupperware out of a online store but that was mostly so people wouldn't think I didn't have a job. We were going to get to my sister in Atlanta but that didn't work out as well as I hoped." She laughed something is strange about that woman but I should not judge and Definitely should not say anything dad says to always be polite there is no reason to be rude especially to a lady.
I finish my breakfast we all go to gather the food we brought it's not much compared to how many people we have. There is the MREs that Carol claimed were forgotten why did she lie about that? Odd duck that one is. We stand is a circle around the food. "Dad how are we going to get more food this won't last" I ask he is standing next to me. Dad doesn't answer me he is just staring at the food. "Dad?" I press Glenn breaks the silence " I can go get more from the
abandoned stores and cars" "that's dangerous though those things are there for they will-they'll.." I don't want to finish my sentence I don't want Glenn to die I like him I already lost my uncle , Carl lost his dad and so many others lost people too. I don't want anyone else to die but know what dad says they will but I want to stop it. " I know pal but I'm good at getting in and out of places quickly and we need food better me than anyone else." Glenn responses I look at the food pile he is right we need food. " wait to leave until dawn then go I want you to have as much time as possible." Dad tells him. I walk away.
I sit by Carl he is playing with some trucks we play together for a bit. Not playing any certain game just rolling them around an making ramps out of dirt.
Is this life now I should probably get use to camping.

I chose to do comic Carol that's why she is acting strange.
Jacob is a young kid so his opinions are going to be kid like and don't reflect my own. So he doesn't realize that people in grief act differently or that women can have short hair. I don't want to make him look narrow minded he hasn't been exposed to lots of stuff because he is like around 9-11 witch is the age rage I am thinking of I leaning more towards 9 as his and Carl's age Sophia is going to be that age too.
All of the other characters not in the tv show are from the comics I'm just beginning to read the comics but I'm liking them.
I'm not far into the comics so I'm not sure of all the changes I'll make. I like Billy Greene so he will be there and

Hershel is not going to hit him I got to that part in the comics and I can't stand that Hershel did that.

The Dixon brothers come in next chapter.
I going to try and get Daryl right so he won't like like Jacob or anyone at first
I don't know why I'm writing this as if I posted the last few chapters I'm planning on at least getting the first season done before it's posted.
This chapter took 3 days to write
