Haircuts and radios

Half the group has gone to get supplies. Before it would just be Glenn. He was a good supply runner I don't know why Dad had so many people but he knows what he is doing.
I sit by Carl we're playing with the trucks and other toys that we brought it wasn't much just the trucks and four action figures Lady is laying beside me. Sophia comes up to us along with Eliza and Louis the Morales kids  " can we play with you" Sophia asks ? "Yeah" "yep" Carl and I answer. I see the twins Billy and Ben sitting next to each other near there dad they are looking over here. I get up and walk over to them " you can join us if ya want" I state I'm not asking I want to say because I don't want to pressure them but it's actually because of pride I don't need to ask people to play with me. But that doesn't mean I want to leave people out. The twins nod I don't know witch one is witch. We walk back to the others.
"So want do you want to play" Eliza asks " how about we play knights in a tournament and the cars can be used as horses because there is not enough action figures to play with" Sophia says " sounds good" Carl says " I vote for Sophia to be leader" Louis speaks " me too" one of the twins say " why do we need a leader" Carl asks I'm wondering the same thing. " because the gown ups got a leader so we should to" Eliza states "you need to grow up and be a man." Dad voice was in my head I really don't see why we need a leader but they are getting excited about it and adults don't fight about stuff that doesn't really matter and the others seem to enjoy it so I keep quiet. "What about you Jacob your dad is in charge so shouldn't you be boss?" Ben at least I think it's Ben says. I shake my head "nawl Soph can be leader who my dad is doesn't matter" I don't care who is in charge I don't just want anyone to be left out so we all need to be friends. Carl nods " ok dose any have an objection to Sophia being leader or her game idea" he asks. No one dose so we play her game. It's suggested by Billy that the knights are fighting for the right to ask Lady on a date after making it clear that she could say no to the winner, can choose who she wanted, and is my dog no matter what every one agrees. It's fun and it nice to enjoy some time without worrying it's just fun.

The fun doesn't last though me and Carl are called for hair cuts. Carl is first his mom is cutting his hair. Carl keeps moving around "stay still hon" aunt Lori tells him " I'm trying mom" he is still squirming. "I don't see why we need hair cuts I like my hair long" I state I know I'm being childish but really don't understand there's geeks everywhere and they'll eat you even if your bald. " cus I won't have any child of mine looking like a feral heathen and neither will Shane" aunt Lori says dad smiles and rubs his chin " just wait till you two start shaving that shit stings" I groan at that news. " hey I'll tell you two what" I look up at my dad's voice he continues " if you are good and let Lori cut your hair I'll teach you how to catch frogs" Carl looks at him " I've caught a frog before" dad smiles " frogs multiple" Carl looks confused " why would I need lots of frogs" he asks "frog legs?" I ask dad smiling I loved frog legs they were a rare treat. " that's right champ frog legs." Dad grins Carl makes a face " gross" dad shake his head still grinning " not gross yum" aunt Lori puts the brush and scissors down as she finish Carl's hair cut. "No gross" she says " nope yum!" I say. " just wait till we are out of beans the Kermit leg will look good then you'll be begging for seconds" he does a funny impression that sounds nothing like her or any woman " oh please Shane can I have just a little more?" We laugh " I rather eat miss piggy, that came out wrong"aunt Lori says shaking her head " I don't get it what's the joke" I look at my dad for and answer. "Is it because you like bacon mom?" Carl asks " let's go with that" she says I still don't get it.

The radio goes off dad runs to it. I can't hear what exactly is happening but it doesn't sound good. " he's walking into a death trap dale try a fix the radio" dad walks back to me " dad who is going to die" I ask " some guy heading to Atlanta" he is not looking at me when he says it " maybe he'll meet are group and they'll save each other" I try to cheer him up but I know that's probably impossible. " just go get your hair cut kid" dad dismisses me shaking his head. I go to get my hair cut if anything to make dad happy.

Later there is another radio message I don't hear what it says but I know its T-Dog. They try to get back to him but it's unsuccessful.
I sit by Carl he is just looking at the water from camp. We can see the water from here. " how is Lady doing" Carl asks " she is doing a lot better I have to change her bandages hopefully she'll be walking on it soon right now she still holds it up." I respond still looking at the the water. " she'll be ok remember your dad got shot and he was ok" Carl looks angry and pulls his knees to his chest "are you mad at me I thought that he would get better I'm sorry for giving you false hope I truly am." We lock eyes for a long minute. He breaks eye contact first before putting his forehead on his knees " I'm not mad at you I'm not mad at mom or Shane I'm not even mad at the geeks." His voice is muffled but I can hear him I pause before asking him "are you mad at your dad or yourself" he shake his head " I'm mad at my dad for leaving me although I know he didn't leave me he died and I'm mad at myself for being mad at him I just wish I could go back a prevent it somehow" I put my hand on his shoulder " it's not your fault Carl" he looks up face red and speaks "can we do anything else like let's check on Lady." I nod we walk to my tent. Lady is still sleeping I grab my MP3 player hand one earbud to my friend putting the other in my ear we lay down and just listen to the music. I have a bit less than 200 songs after a listening to half the songs we hear a car alarm Carl and I run out.
" what the hell is that" dad asks Dale " sounds like a car alarm" Dale says no shit Sherlock. A sports car come up Glenn jumps out Dad is yelling for him to turn off the alarm. Amy is yelling asking where is Andrea is. What's going on where is the rest of the group. I hear Glenn speak "I don't know how" dad goes to the car door pops the hood. He then reaches under the hood and the sound stops. " what the hell were you thinking you just rang the dinner bell" dad is yelling " maybe not the sound bounced off the mountains so we're safe probably" Dale states looking at the mountains. " but that was very a stupid move Glenn you should be more careful" Glenn sighs dropping his arms Amy is still freaking out " is my sister ok where is Andrea!" Glenn puts his hands up " yes everyone is ok well everyone but Merle" that makes my eyes widened " what happened to Merle!" He doesn't get a chance to answer because a van pulls up behind the car. Andrea and Amy hug. Eliza and Louis run to their dad hugging him with their mom right behind them. I feel a spike of jealousy it's unfair how they get both their parents while I never got a mom. My jealousy dissipates when I see how upset Carl is he lost his dad and I never knew my mom she was probably awful anyway you can't miss something that you never had. Carl and his mom are walking away when I hear " helicopter boy come on"
There he is a dead man walking. " Dad!" Carl screams running to him The man I consider my uncle meets his son halfway they crash into a hug with his wife not far behind. I want to join but I don't want to intrude I'm not really family after all so I let them have their moment. Dad has an odd look on his face like he is not happy like he has lost something maybe I don't know why he didn't lose anything he got his friend back. Arms are wrapped around me I flinch before I realize it's uncle Rick I was too lost in my thoughts to see that he had approached me I hug him back with my forehead against his chest his chin is on my head" I'm glad your not dead I really am" I say I feel him smile "yes I know I'm happy all of you are safe. Carl, Lori, you and your dad are my family." Dad kneels down next to us and hugs him " brother I'm glad your back I'm happy your here" Carl by my side now Uncle Rick hugs wraps a arm around him. It's a good moment but you know about all good things.

So Ricks back I originally had Jacob get jealous of Carl but instead I had him be happy for his friend I don't want a wall in between Carl and Jacob yet.
I know Rick talks awkward right now I don't know how to fix it so he is awkward. :)
This was meant to be a short chapter lol then it got long.
Next chapter is when they go frog hunting.
The titles of the chapters are things that happen in the chapter it doesn't have to be said. I'm going for the same style that the episodes get there name from probably doing a worse job of it.
