Sammy's POV:

After three hours of driving, I finally make it to Oqaset and once I found somewhere to stop, I zipped up my hoodie, put on my green bandanna, put on a pair of goggles that I bought a couple of days ago, put on a pair of gloves, put my hood up, grabbed my backpack, and got out of my car to head to the memorial. I've never been to Oqaset before, so all that I'm seeing here is technically a new experience for me. There were some stray dogs just walking around the town, so there's probably little to no shelters here. There's not a lot of extracurricular things such as a swimming pool or a mall, which I guess would make sense, since it's a pretty small town. There's a lot of small businesses here though, so I'm guessing that they're still trying to recover from the disaster that was the nine month war. As I continue to observe the architecture of the town, I heard something barking coming towards me. I turned around only to be trampled onto the ground by this dog with mostly black fur, the only exception being it's paws, a bit of its tail, and parts of its chest, which are purple for some odd reason.

I looked into it's crystal blue eyes as I got myself back on my feet and adjusted my bandanna. "Halo an siin, cài ist bhein sealbesitzii?" I greeted the dog in Nadori, since I've heard from a few of my friends who have relatives in Oqaset that a majority of the citizens who live here only speak the Nadori language. The dog just tilted its head in response to what I just said, so I'm assuming that they're a stray. "Oh, nai heix keinen sealbesitzii?" I asked, the dog just barked. "Okay, tix versmii a'feudas rii a'charrix-denx cogaii naoi mìosan a finden. Würdii es inntii ausmachen mii?" The dog just panted excitedly while wagging its tail before running off to where I assume would be the memorial, I ran as quickly as I can to catch up with them. "Hey, fiirii suas!" I shouted as I continue to run after the dog.

After fifteen minutes of following the dog while sprinting, I finally made it to the nine month war memorial. I saw the dog walking towards me before putting its head underneath my arm, I looked down and noticed how big it was. "Tainkix, verdammt bhii dux lunell." I said as I petted the dog before walking to the memorial, the dog following me. Once I got myself seated, I take a ginger scented candle and an orchid scented one out of my backpack, along with some matches and a bouquet of red roses. I place the roses in the middle of the memorial, then I placed the candles on each side of the roses and lit them.

I just sat there as the chilly breeze blew on my face, taking a moment of silence for all the soldiers, citizens, and government officials who have died or went missing. I was going to get on my knees to pray, when I heard whimpering, I opened my eyes and saw the dog looking at all the names that were written on the memorial. I went to the dog to comfort it, since the dog probably saw a bit of the nine month war, that or it's owner probably died or went missing. "Hey, thaix ordiix. Sii jetzt an einem bessiir orr a-nix." I said soothingly as I scratched the dog behind its ear, causing it to nuzzle on me. It just panted sadly while looking at me worryingly. "Tix weiß agass ei faower siin duilix weiterzii, ach thaix gehört zum liviia." I got on my knees to begin the prayer, when I saw the dog lay it's head on my lap, still looking at me with its blue eyes that gleamed of sadness. I gently rub its back while I said the prayer. "Oh athiix vater, tix urnaix rii dei dax dèanix siicherstexx naoi mìosan a'gabhaix foix krii ruhix schlafen und großartiges, wärii dei diisix streunendei hux mai dex kuniix weitzerzumachen. Tix moxx aux dax siin dei verblitz bürgen voix Oqaset vor weiternix scahdiix bewahrwn und diesix voix liire und schulx geoplax staii mai hoffnung und freu erfüllix. Fax beó an Valentin Abtrünnixx, amen." I stated when I heard footsteps coming towards me.

I turned my head to see a man who looked to be around his late sixties walking towards the memorial with a plumberry scented candle in one hand and a bouquet of yellow gardenias in the other. He puts the bouquet and candle down and heads over to a cart that's a few metres away from the memorial, I decided to keep an eye on them so that no one would steal them. About five minutes later, he comes back with a green vase in his hands and fills it up with water from a stream that's nearby. Once he did that, he sat next to me and the dog and places the gardenias in the vase.
