Chapter 33

"OH MY GOD ITS (Y/N) (L/N)" Everyone i've known that sat at the canteen table sarcastically made a shock face.

"She's come back after leaving her lover behind." Sasha dramatically flicks her hand on her forehead and pretends to faint. Connie joins in the act and catches Sasha in his arms. Everyone laughs seeing the pair in their act.

An arm suddenly rested on your shoulder causing you to jolt,

"WHAT THE HECK WHY ARE YOU HERE?!" Jean pointed.

"None of your business."

"You're not taking Y/N away from us." Armin took you in a tight yet secure hug while patting your head, stealing you away from Levi. You nod and cross your arms despite your already pink tinted cheeks. "Even your girlfriend agrees, now shoo" Jean added as he flicks his hand signalling Levi to go away.

"Tch, I'm not taking my girlfriend away from you, I have stuff to do."

"YOU'RE NOT?!" Everyone says in unison, and even you.

"Do you not want me anymore?" You furrow your brows though it was a phrase filled with sarcasm. "Asshole of a midget."

"I just have something to take care of. And Kirstein." Levi glares at Jean with eyes that could kill. The atmosphere around the group became tense and everyone went silent. "You're not just going to get away with what you just said, brat." Levi walked away calmly with hands full of paper bags. 'Looks like he does have something up' you thought and wave him goodbye.

"He's not taking Y/N!" Everyone cheers and start to eat.

"Am I gonna die?" Jean clutches his chest while Sasha and Connie pats him on his back in order to calm him down. They were comforting him in a way.

You giggle at their reactions. "ARMIN IS PAYING." You say loud enough for them to hear. You got to say it before he could say you would be the one paying.

"WHAT NO" everyone immersed in laughter they can't contain anymore.

"AWEE ITS ALREADY BEEN 3 MONTHS??" Levi nodded at Hange's squeal.

"I see why you declined to eat with her during lunch now." Hange placed her hands on her hips. "You were planning for a surprise!" They said in awe.

"I just need you and Erwin's help in decorating and keeping this a secret from her. It's this Sunday."

"No problem! Leave it to me and Erwin!"

"LEVIII" You run up to him with open arms. He takes you in and hugs you tight. You submerge yourself in the warmth he gives you. A wide smile forming on your lips as you rest your head on his chest.

"Okay that's enough, let's go home." Levi pats your head for you to break away from the hug.

"NoOoOo." He picks you up and puts you on the bike. "The girlfriend is getting more clingy by the second."

"It's because you pamper it too much." You hug him again when he positions himself on on the bike. "Well then I should start leaving it alone to grow."

"NO. don't let it grow." you mumble the last bit.

He was silent, catching you off guard. Did he not notice or hear what you said? You were confused but then he pats you on the head before heading off, "Of course not, if it grows to be accustomed without me, i'll die of loneliness." He starts to ride the bike as you jolt up wide-eyed, heat gathering to your cheeks. You hug him tighter on your way home. "Hell, when did you start saying such words," you replied.

"HI HOME" You open the door and plop on the couch. Levi follows you from behind after parking the bike with all your bags in his hands. As soon as he placed all the bags down and arranged everything, you start to tackle him down to the couch.

"Levi Levi Levi Levi"

"I can hear you."

"good. I wanted to tell you something very important." You stare right at his eyes. He doesn't look phased.

"What?"

"Why are you being so nice to me now." You burry your head into the crook of his neck. He caresses your hair gently and positions you in a more comfortable position. "You don't even curse that often anymore. Are you still the same Levi? Am I being too good of an influence?" You sarcastically gasped and sit up cupping his stoic, not phased at all face.

He holds the hands that you cup his face with and closes his eyes. He rests his head to your right hand. "Hey, are you tired? I'm sorry."

"Do you not like the me right now?"

"Are you pouting?" You asked, trying to contain the laughter inside of you. Silence filled the room as he still held your hands.

"I love you." You softly whisper as you kiss his forehead. He suddenly pulled you in for a kiss, catching you off guard. "That's a first."

"What do you mean?"

"You've never said it before."

"Then I'll do it more often." You rub his back.

"Are you tired?" You said, receiving a groan from him. "I have to go home."

Yes, you started to live alone, but not with Levi. You don't live together, he only stays during the weekends to keep you company.

"You can stay here."

"No, I can't." This reaction of him caught your attention. 'why would he not want to stay..?' you start to question.

"Why?" You say rather seriously. Levi suddenly gets up and gathers his things, "Nothing important."

This sudden scene didn't feel right. He would always agree to you whenever you ask him to stay over. He doesn't refuse when it comes to spending more time with you. 'What's going on? did I do something wrong..?' you start to overthink.
