Chapter 35

"Are you serious right now?!"

"Yes."

"Levi," You sigh and pinch the bridge of your nose. "No one goes out this late." You point at the clock on your wall which reads: "11:30 pm"

"Considering the number of insomniacs in the world, I'm more than sure that there are people who walk around this shitty planet at this hour." He crosses his arms with a stern face.

"You better make sure you're taking me out this late for good shit." He nods as you quickly get ready and grab your purse. "Okay lets go. Take me to neverland or wherever we're supposed to be at this hour. I'm at your disposal my dear." You giggle and take hold of Levi's hand not noticing the hint of pink that started to color his cheeks. He leads you out of your house and onto your bike, "Hey why are you riding my bike?"

"It's comfortable."

"What do you mean?"

"Tch, It's comfortable knowing you're holding onto me."

"You-" at a loss of words, you were speechless. "That was sweet, are you sick?"

"No." he simply answers.

"Where are we headed to exactly?" You ask as the nightly breeze blows upon your hair sending you a shiver down your spine. You hug him tighter instinctively as you couldn't see anything with your hair in front of your face, in the way of your eyesight. "You'll see." He replied with a calm and caring voice. Hearing this tone made you at ease especially at this late hour and you're both outside. The stars begin to shimmer as Levi safely gives you a ride on a bike to a place you're not sure where.

"This better be for a good cause." You lean your head to his back instantly feeling his warmth. He suddenly holds your hands which tightly grips around his torso for a moment. You smile at this sudden yet romantic gesture.

The ride was soothing and calm. There were not as many cars as you expected. The ride was rather...quiet? you didn't expect it to be.

"Wake up, we're here." He tells you as you shot up fully awake. "Where are w-" You stopped the words falling out of your mouth as you see the scenery in front of you. Astounded, you take in the whole landscape with your mouth agape looking around, up and down, left to right.

"Tch, close your mouth." Levi closes your mouth. You chuckle at his gentle touch, "What are we doing here? It looks...amazing..I have no words to describe it." You say as your mouth begins to form a smile.

Levi takes your hand and leads you up the stairs to the small hill. The landscape contained a tree covered in fairy lights with a series of colors and a tent? a tent decorated with flowers at that. It was breezy and the picture right in front of you was godly beautiful.

"Do you like it? please tell me you like it." He sounded worried.

"Pfft- are you worried?" He stayed silent. You were still walking up the stairs towards the tent.

"Levi...this.." You stare at what you saw. 'A painting...? and a small picnic.."

"So...do you like it?" He looked at you with eager eyes learning to know your thoughts. He obviously prepared for this.

"Is this the reason why you looked so tired this week?" Your eyebrows furrowed making you looked concerned. Yet instead of giving you a serious look, he unexpectedly gave you a smile..

"Levi.." You start to tear up. "Oh fuck, what's happening are you okay?" He says frantically. Worried that he might've done something wrong or there was something that was not to your liking as of the moment.

"No no everything's fine its just that—this." You look at the set up prepared for you. "What's wrong with it?"

"Nothing, I just..why?" You turn to him with confusion evident on your face.

He looks at his watch for a moment before pointing to it and showing it to you, "12:00 am." You furrow your brows and look at him straight in the eyes. "Idiot. Are you that stupid?" he sighs and cups your face in his hands, "Happy 3rd month anniversary." This left you speechless. You've been preparing for so long yet you forgot the date was around the corner. Let alone it was right now. "Oh Levi.." You tilt your head and give out a tear eyed smile.

"Y/N..Why are you crying?" His eyebrows furrowed with worry as he wipes your tears gently with his thumb. "I'm just too happy right now." You looked at him in awe. The man right in front of you set up something like this just for a mere 3 month anniversary. You didn't expect this to happen at all. As you lean in closer to him, your faces inches apart, fireworks start to burst out catching Levi's attention and yours causing you both to look at it. But before he could turn back to look at you, you cupped his face in you hands and pulled him in. Your lips brushed against each other. You sink in a deep and loving kiss.

"What is this." You point to the painting.

"A painting."

You furrow your eyebrows in annoyance, "I can see that stupid, I'm not blind."

"Then why'd you ask?"

"Are you serious right now-" you sigh as he let out a soft chuckle which catches your attention.

"Okay okay I'll stop. That was what I could really only do other than playing the piano for you."

"What do you mean?"

"See that person in the painting?"

"Yea, obviously."

"It's you."

~FLASHBACK~

I saw a girl about me and Hange's age wearing a white sun hat decorated with flowers on her head and beautiful white dress hugging her waist, flowing with the breeze. I didn't manage to catch a glimpse of her face but her bike had a basket in front of it where she placed her belongings.

~END OF FLASHBACK~

"It's a painting of how I viewed you from when I first laid my eyes on you." He looked away with shyness.

"Although it's not the best its-" you cut him off with a hug. "Have I ever said I love you?" You whispered in his ear as you bury your face onto the crook of his neck. A smirk forms on his face although you didn't get to see it, "Once or twice maybe?"

"Oh.." You said. He starts to glide his fingers through your (H/L) (H/C) hair stroking it gently. "I love you."

This stops his actions. "Mm" He hums as he placed a sweet kiss on your head.

"I'm glad you like it.." He said, more like whispered.

"It took my breath away." You nuzzle and tighten your hug.

"I didn't expect you to remember how I looked like."

"It never left my mind once."

~FLASHBACK~ [LEVI'S POV]

Goddamit why did Hange really have to drag me out here just for her to see those ugly ass dogs or whatever. Tch. I was frustrated at the current situation.

I suddenly turn to see a beautiful lady looking like she was about me and Hange's age on a bike, "Wh-" I was at a loss of words. I was about to walk until I suddenly tripped. "Fuck" I muttered. Good thing nobody saw that.
