Present Mic: I can feel the anticipation in the stadium! And that's because the second round's first match is gonna be epic! It's the guy who won his last fight by a landslide and literally left half the audience frozen. The hero course's, Shoto Todoroki! And this kid almost walked out of his first matchup, but made a stunning comeback by showing off some impressive moves! Also from the hero course, Izuku Midoriya!
Tenya: Tokoyami. How do you think this match will go?
Fumikage: It depends on whether or not Midoriya is able to get close to him.
You: Yeah. But even then, that's the issue. Todoroki can summon tons of ice. How is Izuku going to avoid it.
Present Mic: Both of the heroes-in-training have been frontrunners in the Sports Festival! But which one of these rivals will advance to the next round? Prepare for... Midoriya versus Todoroki! Begin!
Todoroki instantly attacked Midoriya with a bunch of ice speeding towards him. Just as you suspected, Midoriya shot it away with a huge burst of power, but at the cost of one of his fingers. Due to the ice, the wind produced by Midoriya traveled to the rest of the audience ended up being freezing cold.
Present Mic: Wow! Midoriya managed to break Todoroki's insane opening move!
Another ice attacked charged at Midoriya, but he simply destroyed it yet again, but another one of his fingers was broken.
Present Mic: He countered again!
The two of them stared each other down for a while. You looked at your friend, and while you were rooting for him to win, you weren't sure if he'd be able to win this one.
Another ice attack, another broken finger. Ice shards were scattered by the wind across the arena.
Eijiro: Oh, no, crap! I'm missing it!
You: Hey, nice job making it to the second round, Kirishima.
Eijiro: Thanks, man. Looks like I take down Bakugo next.
Katsuki: I'll kill you.
Eijiro: Heh. Yeah, sure, in your dreams. No, but, seriously. It's crazy how you and Todoroki both have moves that blast the whole stadium! Must be pretty nice.
Hanta: Plus you don't have to pause between attacks.
Katsuki: It's not as easy as you think, ya morons.
Eijiro: Hm?
Katsuki: If you overuse your muscles, you risk tearing them apart. If you sprint too much, you run out of breath. Quirks are physical abilities, too. They can get worn out. You can't just use them nonstop.
Eijiro: It makes sense when you put it that way. I wonder if that's how Midoriya thinks he's gonna beat Todoroki.
Another blast destroyed Todoroki's ice attack, as you saw the fingers on his right hand look completely broken.
Present Mic: Todoroki withstood Midoriya's power and is now rushing his classmate!
As Todoroki made an ice bridge above Midoriya, Midoriya destroyed and jumped out of the way before Todoroki could land an ice punch on him. While he was in the air, however, Todoroki froze one of Midoriya's legs.
You saw Midoriya use his whole fist, as you looked in awe at the huge burst of wind and power. You watched in curiosity as the both of them staring each other down.
Then, another ice attack charged Midoriya.
Present Mic: Whoa! Todoroki continues his overwhelming attacks! Could this be his finishing move?
The ice burst as you were shocked and confused at how Midoriya was able to do that.
You: No way...
You stared at Midoriya as one of his already broken fingers, looked completely destroyed, yet he was still able to make a fist.
You: (How is his hand even able to move right now?!)
You saw Midoriya's determined face. You knew he wasn't going down easily, but this was nothing like you'd expected.
Todoroki ran at Midoriya, but there was something that stuck out to you.
You: (He's running.... Slowly.)
You saw a bit of ice of his right side, yet he still ran at Midoriya. As Todoroki jumped at Midoriya, Midoriya instantly ran at him and sent a punch right to his stomach.
Present Mic: A solid punch! That's the kind of action I like to see!
His arm wasn't broken, but there was ice on his left arm now. An ice attack charged Midoriya, but he was able to dodge it easily, unlike the others.
Todoroki ran at him, as they both knocked each other back. Another attack, followed by another burst of wind.
You: (His right hand's fingers are completely broken, yet he's still using them to fight?! Geez, Izuku, I knew you were powerful, but I never knew you'd last this long and go this far.)
The both of them charged one another, their skill levels being way above yours. Midoriya used his thumb and mouth to launch another blast at Todoroki.
As he got blasted backwards, the ice barrier he set up to stop himself, ended slightly hurting him in the process. Midoriya ran at him and sent another punch to his gut.
More ice formed on Todoroki as Midoriya kept running at him. Another punch to his gut, followed by a ton of dust.
Suddenly, a huge, tremendous amount of fire, covered Todoroki.
Present Mic: Is that...?
Uraraka: He's using his fire!
You: (He never uses his fire in battle. Izuku, what did you say to inspire him? How did you do it?)
Tenya: Incredible.
You: (Izuku. Any other person would just beat him when they had the chance and be done with it. But Izuku, you somehow managed to get Todoroki to go all out. You really are awesome Izuku!)
You looked at the mesmerizing sight in front of you.
Endeavor: Yes, Shoto!
Present Mic: Huh?
Endeavor: Have you finally accepted your purpose? That's it. Very good. This is the dawn of a new era for us. With my blood in your veins, you'll surpass me. You will live up to the reason I created you!
Present Mic: Endeavor suddenly shouts words of... encouragement? What a doting father.
Ice and fire. Todoroki's sides stood out to everyone. All the people in the audience looked at Todoroki with amazement.
You looked back to Midoriya as you saw him smiling, as he got ready to use his final attack. As Midoriya weaved through the ice, Todoroki's fire side shined as bright as a raging fire.
As the two of them were about to collide, a huge cement wall blocked their attacks. The amount of cement from the arena scattered across the ground, as the whole thing looked destroyed.
