The door of the bedroom banged open, heavy footsteps echoing around making Taani's back stiffen as she stood there in the middle of his penthouse bedroom with her heaving breath and raised heartbeats. Her back was facing him, as he walked inside the room with predatory gaze and steps. She could just hear his footsteps, and also, the noise of their heavy breaths in the dead silence of the room.
