When we got out of lunch, we headed down to my favorite and strongest subject, Art.
Unluckily for me, Sally and Phillip were in our Art class.
And we had assigned seats.
Today must be unlucky- well partly unlucky day for me because I had to sit next to Sally, who sat across from Phillip.
Luckily, The Doctor was on my other side.
Our teacher said we could draw whatever described us for the hour, just to get used to art class.
I picked up my pencil, and started trying to draw randomly, but failing to draw anything.
"Hey, what is that, a plastic tube with a light-bulb in it?" Sally joked, glancing at The Doctor's drawing of his Sonic Screwdriver.
"No Sally, its a scientific instrument that you can't even begin to understand because your not clever." The Doctor said calmly, a small smile formed on his face.
I hadn't drawn anything yet though, I couldn't think of anything.
"Hey new girl." Phillip said, making me freeze and keep looking at my paper.
"Leave her alone Phillip," The Doctor demanded through gritted teeth.
Phillip just ignored The Doctor, and kept on talking.
"Our pictures are supposed to describe us, what's yours supposed to mean?" He said, pretending to sound confused at why my paper was blank.
My nervousness, was soon going to turn into anxiety, and I didn't want anybody to see that.
"Ohhh, I get it!" Phillip suddenly exclaimed. "It means that you're nothing!" He finished, laughing.
I just sat there.
I couldn't believe he was this mean.
I couldn't believe he actually enjoyed this.
"Yeah I guess your right Phillip, she is nothing I mean c'mon, she hangs with those geeks." Sally said, laughing.
I couldn't take this.
Tears were threatening to spill out of my eyes, but I knew from videos that you never want to cry in front of a bully, you need to try to be tough and hang in there.
"Shut up..." I muttered.
"I'm sorry what was that, I didn't quite hear you." Phillip said in a sing-song voice, while Sally kept laughing, and people gathered around the four of us.
I looked up at Phillip.
"I.said.Shut.Up." I replied sternly, but my voice shook from holding back tears, showing my lack of confidence.
"Awww, is the wittle girl gonna cwy?" Phillip said, like a person talking to a three year old.
"I'm not a little girl, so back off and leave me to my drawing." I said, a little louder.
"Gabi, just try and ignore them..." The Doctor said, putting his hand on my shoulder, and squeezing it reassuringly.
I tried taking a deep breath in, but I only breathed in a sob.
I put my hands in my lap, even though I was still tense, doing so usually helped me calm down in any situation.
It still worked, for this situation though tears still threatened to spill over.
I felt The Doctor, put one of his hands on mine, again reassuring me so I became more calm.
"How do you do it?" I ask him quietly, looking down at my lap.
"Do what?" He asked back, trying to see my face.
I breathed in a sobbed sigh, which signaled I had started to cry.
"Deal with the bullies, how are you so... calm." I asked, trying to sound like I wasn't crying.
"We've just been here long enough, to get used to it I guess." He replied, still squeezing my hand.
The crowd of people had dispersed, well everyone except Rose, Summer, Sherlock, and John.
"Gabi, are you okay?" Summer asked from behind me.
"Obviously she isn't okay, can't you see she's obviously crying because she just got bullied for the first time in her entire life, as she said earlier and-" Sherlock stopped.
My guess is he got a dirty look.
"Don't worry Summer, I'm fine." I said, picking up my pencil.
Quickly but carefully I put the pencil on the paper and wrote four words.
The Stuff Of Legend.
At that point, the bell rang.
I wiped away my tears, turned my paper into the bin, and walked out of the room trying to show my friends I was fine, even though The Doctor and Summer probably knew I wasn't.
Sherlock I'm pretty sure knew I wasn't fine, he has that deducing thing, so I wouldn't be surprised if he confronted me.
But right now, I wanted to be with my friends, besides we could visit each other through-out the night since our dorms were connected by doors.
The Doctor was telling a cool story, possibly trying to cheer me up, when we got to our dorm room.
"Night Gabi, sleep well." The Doctor said. I could hear concern in his voice and see it in his eyes, but he was still smiling.
"Ok, I'll try. Night." I said, managing a little smile.
"Dream about aliens!" The Master shouted, making me laugh a little.
"Go to bed Master." Donna muttered.
Everyone except Sherlock had gone in their dorms.
"Well." Sherlock said.
"Well, what?" I asked. playing with my hands nervously, but also confused.
"I know you aren't fine." He said, before opening the door to his dorm.
"Try to get used to it though, I don't want you having to see Moriarty as well." Sherlock said.
I could tell he hated Moriarty.
I could see it in his eyes.
But I could also see that he cared for his friends no matter what.
I smiled at him. "I'll try, I promise."
He smiled a little.
"Goodnight Gabi." He said, then went in his dorm and closed the door.
I smiled to myself, but frowned a little, as I entered mine and Summer's dorm.
"You and the Doctor have hit it off huh?" She said, smiling.
I blushed remembering how much the Doctor had cared for me during Art.
"Yeah, I guess we have." I said, a little dreamily.
"Ha! I knew it! You liiiiike him!"
"Okay okay I admit it, now please go for now."
The voice in my head obeyed, and I got into bed.
"Night Gabi, feel better soon." Summer said, before yawning and falling asleep instantly.
"Night Summer." I replied.
Then I fell asleep, thinking how much every one of my friends cared for me, especially the Doctor, Sherlock, and Summer.
