(2 months later)
Days passed in a blur, but I was still surprised to see that Gabi and I had been at this school for two months.
When I mentioned this fact to Gabi, she instantly wanted a party. Naturally, I didn't.
"Come on, Summer. Just an insy weensy party?" Gabi pleaded.
"No." I said monotonously. "No party at all, Gabi."
"It won't be that crazy!" she protested. "Please?"
"No."
Gabi played her trump card. "If you come to the party, I won't tell Sherlock that you like him."
I spun around and stared at her in shock. "You wouldn't!" I gasped. She smirked triumphantly.
"Oh yes I would." she said. Now I was stuck. I could either be humiliated by Sherlock rejecting me or be humiliated by going to a small party.
I chose the second option.
"Fine." I muttered. "I'll go."
Gabi smiled. "Goodie! Now go get a swimsuit and change."
I froze.
"Swimsuit?" I asked cautiously. Gabi sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Yes. Swim. Suit." she said slowly. "The Doctor found a perfect lake to go swimming. It's Saturday, so we can do whatever we want as long as it's on school grounds."
Swimsuit? I can't wear a swimsuit. I can't.
"I-I don't have a swimsuit." I said, trying to think of reasons to not go.
"No problem." Gabi said, walking over to her closet, taking out a bikini, and throwing it as me.
"Any one pieces?" I asked, a little self consciously. I don't want to show that much skin. At least the bottoms were more like shorts.
"Nope." Gabi said, popping the p sound. "Go change. Now."
I slumped in defeat and shuffled into the bathroom. I quickly changed, and examined what I looked like in the full length mirror.
The bikini was black, and thankfully covered more skin than I thought it would. I looked at my arms.
The cuts were healed, but they were definiately visible. I sighed, and slipped on a lightweight long sleeved white button-up t-shirt. But I didn't button it up. It just hung like a jacket.
Nervously, I stepped out of the bathroom. Gabi squealed in delight.
"You look gorgeous." she said. I blushed and crossed my arms nervously.
"Thanks. You look gorgeous, too." I said. Gabby was wearing a teal bikini that went perfectly with her brown hair and grey eyes. "Can we go now?"
Gabi quickly grabbed two pairs of sandals, then took my elbow and started dragging me.
"Come alone, Reid." she said, running. The Doctor has been too.much of an influence on her. She led me to a courtyard. I gasped.
"I thought you said that there would only be a few people!" I hissed."Well, a few people and their plus ones." Gabi amended herself too late.
"Gabi! That's our whole classroom!"
It was true. There were even extra people besides our classroom. Gwen had brought her boyfriend, Rhys. Jack had brought one girl and one boy, both of who were blushing furiously as he slung an arm around both of them. I perfered not to imagine what they were doing.
