After the rest of us got questioned, I was really nervous.
I couldn't stop thinking that the Doctor might know what's going on, but he wouldn't say anything after that, and always changed the subject when I brought it up.
He'd told me: " it's for your own safety Gabi, I don't want you or anyone else getting hurt."
Even the Master looked nervous, though that twinkle of insanity was still there.
I was currently sitting on my part of the bunk bed, playing with my hands.
My mind kept flashing back to when I saw the angel statue.
"It was just a statue...right?"
I kept asking myself, as I layed down on my bed trying to think.
I was still nervous when Summer got out of the shower.
She was wearing goofy, but comfy looking pajamas, with slippers of coarse.
"You're awful quiet." She remarked, sitting on the bottom bunk.
It took me a moment to answer.
"Sorry, just thinking." I said, still playing with my hands. She stared at me. Her gaze seemed accusitory. I had to looked away, even though I knew I looked guilty.
"What did you really see down in the cave?" Summer asked suddenly. I looked at her suddenly.
"W-why would you think I saw anything?" I said, trying to get out of answering the question.
"Well, you've been nervous since the interrogation, and you've been playing with your hands the for last hour." Summer pointed out.
I debated on whether I should tell Summer about the mysteriously vanishing stone angel, or not.
I bit my lip.
"C'mon Gabi, tell me." Summer begged.
She obviously liked to know about stuff that other people knew about and she didn't.
"Well..." I started. "Remember how the Doctor muttered the word Angel, well I saw a stone angel in that cave when I found Amy, but-" I continued, but Summer interrupted me.
"I never saw a stone angel though." She said, I could here a little doubt in her voice.
"I know, before you called for me the first time, I was inspecting the angel, but when you called me, I turned around, then turned back to look at the angel statue... and it just disappeared." I explained, playing with my hands still, and shifting around a little.
"So your saying it just disappeared, into thin air by itself." Summer said.
I could hear interest in her voice, but see doubt in her eyes.
Suddenly, the Doctor, Sherlock, and John opened the door.
"Eavesdrop much." Summer retorted.
The Doctor ignored her, and went straight up the ladder and sat on my bunk.
He looked at me.
His face was serious, and his eyes were searching my nervous gray eyes.
"Gabi, why didn't you tell me you saw an angel statue in that underwater cave, when you found Amy." The Doctor said.
"I don't know." I said, quietly.
"Gabi, I need to know, were there any more statues there, what did the angel look like, what did it do to Amy, what did it do to you." Etc...)
The Doctor started asking question after question, each more demanding than the last, the Angels must be deadly or something.
But it was the questions that broke me.
I covered my face with my hands, and started crying.
"Stop the questions, I've a-already been interrogated once t-today!" I sobbed, causing everyone to go silent.
"I don't know okay, I've just been through so much the past few hours!" I said, growing more tense.
I still had my hands covering my face, and I heard John say worriedly, that I needed some rest, and that he was worried about me.
I heard the others exit the room, when I felt familiar arms rap around my tensed up body.
I knew I was shaking, but that was from how the Doctor showed a side of him I never knew existed.
He was so serious it had scared me, and made me wonder what he's been through.
"Shhhh..." The Doctor's voice cut into my thoughts.
I was still in a ball, but I could feel myself calm down a little as the Doctor rocked me back and fourth slowly and stroked my hair, softly.
I think tonight was so far the most I've cried in my entire life.
The Doctor kept rocking me back and fourth, back and fourth, while whispering things in my ear like:
"Shhhh... I'm here, your safe."
And, "Calm down Gabi, your fine now."
And other things, to make me calm down.
Finally, after what seemed like forever I could talk again.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you..." I said.
My voice was raspy, and my throat was dry and sore.
"Don't apologize Gabi, just get rest." He said, laying me down, but hesitating before unwrapping his arms.
I wanted him to stay, to comfort me more, but I was so tired and frustrated that I could barely keep my eyes open.
The last thing I saw before I passed out, was the Doctor look worriedly at me.
His eyes and his expression showed so many things.
Worry, loss, and longing were the three expressions that stood out to me the most.
