April 25th, 2020

Elijah's POV

Before I start I know y'all mad as hell at the homie but believe me I didn't want to leave Mariah or my family for that matter but I had no choice. But don't worry I will explain everything.

Flashback

March 12th, 2014
I had just got got off the phone making dinner reservations for tonight and I was also checking on my gifts for my anniversary with my girlfriend Mariah. I remember when I had first Mariah she was so damn beautiful and shy. And you could say that stuck out to me and I knew at that moment I had to have her. But since our anniversary is two weeks away I was planning on proposing to her. So I had just met with my jeweler to show him what engraving I wanted on the inside of the ring band.

As I was walking back to my car I received a phone call to meet with my connects along with my family. I had a bad feeling about this meeting but against my judgement I went. That's when it all went to hell from there. See my pops was big in the  drug game for a long time and he lived up to his name and reputation. So when he stepped down a while back me and my brothers took over and me being the oldest I had more responsibility then they did. So when I walked in to the room, I could tell by the looks and vibes in the room that it wasn't good.

Omniscient POV

Elijah sat down beside his father while his brothers were on each side and the same for his connect and his people. The connect basically said that not only where the feds trying to close in but there was another connect that was trying to take over. To say Elijah was pissed was an understatement and when the connect passed him the envelope he knew his fate was sealed. It was not only pictures of his family but also of Mariah and her family.  The new connect was threatening to take everyone out including family members, and deep down Elijah knew his next option was going to cause sadness and heartbreak, then there were also files on everyone in the room. By the look on the connects face he was pissed off to the highest level. He knew there was snitch among them but didn't know who. So after a couple hours the decision was made for Elijah, a few of his people, and some from the connects crew to leave town until everything was handled and no one would be hurt. But also not only to stop the take over, but to find the snitch as well.

Once they got outside Wayne said to his son "are you sure this is what you want to do"?. And Elijah said yea I can't let them hurt the people I love I have to fight to get rid of this issue and find out who has been telling feds information. So after he told his family the plan and got into his car. Elijah had to do the most heartbreaking thing which was to tell Mariah he had to leave her. Though he didn't want to he knew it had to be done and prayed and hoped he wouldn't be away for long.
