Hey I'm Mariah I'm 24 years old and I'm from Dallas Texas. I'm a pediatric nurse practitioner at AdventHealth for Children's Hospital in Orlando Florida. I love my job and the kids but deep down I really want a family of my own. I really can't wait for my fiancé and I to start one of our own. I thought I had it with my last love but he up and disappeared and I never heard from him again. To say I was crushed was an understatement, I was completely devastated to the point were at the time I didn't know I was pregnant. I ended up losing my baby at 8 weeks due to all the stress and pain I went through. I was crushed for a long time but with the help of my family and crazy best friends I got through it and bounced back.

March 12th, 2014
It was 2 weeks before my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend Elijah, but in the streets he was known as "Bones". I had met him during my senior year of high school and we fell for each other instantly. I was the quite type but don't let that fool you. If I have to fight I will but I try to stay out the drama. That's what drew me to him because he showed me the nice, charming side of him. He never really showed the other side of him except a few times.

After a few hours of him not responding I just broke down crying hysterically. My doorbell had rang and it was my bestie, I opened the door and she rushed in and hugged me and told me it would be okay. I said to her, Tasha I just don't understand what happen like what did I do. Feeling so many emotions at once I ran upstairs and locked myself in my room and just tore my room apart. I heard Tasha banging on my door and she said, Mariah it's going to be okay please come out. I just don't understand like did I do something wrong like, why did he leave me I said in full blown tears. Plus he's not answering my calls or text, I called his family and no one has seen or heard from him like what did I do. Than Natasha said, Look it's going to be okay alright, now stop crying let's get some food cause tonight we're going out to take your mind off this for a little bit okay. And I said okay, than she said well let's get you dressed and let's get lit. I laughed at her while she was doing a little twerk dance.

Next day March 13th, 2014
After being out with Tasha last night I woke up for my doctors appointment. I got up to do my hygiene stuff but while I was in the shower I noticed blood. But I also realized that my period wasn't expected for another 2 weeks. So immediately got out and got dressed in some comfy clothes, I grabbed my keys and purse and went out the door.

After about 30 mins I got to my appointment the nurse had called me to the back. I put on the gown and sat on the chair waiting for my doctor to come in, I had just gave the blood and urine samples. About 10 mins later my doctor came in the room. Hello, Mariah how are you today said Dr. Jackie, I said I was doing okay. So she started asking me questions and she read my test results to me. She said congratulations your pregnant, and when she saw my face she asked was I okay. That was when I told her about my bleeding. So she told me to get on the table and to lay back so that she could take a look. So as I was taking my underwear off I got this really bad cramp. I looked down and saw a huge clot and Dr. Jackie turned around and said I believe your having a miscarriage. When she said that I cried and when she checked me out she confirmed it was and I cried even harder. She said my stress levels where high. I called my mom and told her the news and she told me to stay at the office and that her and my dad were on there way.
