Jaxon's POV
Waking up looking over at Mariah this morning I feel so damn lucky that I have this beautiful woman that I get to call mine. I got up to do my morning routine, about a hour later I was walking downstairs to my office when I decided to send a message to Elijah for him to come back over later for this discussion. While making breakfast I heard Mariah calling my name I looked up and there she was looking beautiful as ever.

I gave her a deep kiss and told her to have a seat. After plating her food I felt my my phone vibrate, checking my message I see Alex was stopping by and that he had some stuff to tell me. I was hoping it wasn't anything bad because I don't think we can take anymore mess especially after yesterday.
Mariah's POV
Waking up this morning after my eventful night I felt so good but sore at the same time. Getting out of bed was a challenge especially since my legs still felt like they were numb noodles. After a few tries I got up and did my daily hygiene and found something simple to wear. Going downstairs I had some thoughts on my mind especially since everything that has happened plus me wanting to talk to Elijah to get the answers I've been looking for. I called Jaxon's name to see where he was and i immediately smelled food and I was hungry asf. Walking in the kitchen I placed a kiss on Jaxon's lips but of course he had to be extra ready to start something. When I sat down to eat I saw the way he looked at his phone and I was praying that it was nothing bad until he said Alex was stopping by.
Elijah's POV
My mind is still in a fog after yesterday, like I knew Trina was off in the head but I didn't think she would stoop that low to lie the way she did. Once I did my routine and let my brothers know what was going on, I get a message from Jaxon telling me to come by to talk about a plan. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to talk to Mariah since I knew me coming back was a complete shock but I knew she would have questions. Grabbing my keys and locking up I got in my car and drove to their house so that we could finally talk about everything.
Omniscient POV
Waiting for everyone to arrive Jaxon went down to his office to see what information his tech guy had for him to handle this mess once and for all. Hearing a knock on his office door Mariah walked in with his mother behind her as they sat down the door bell rang. Looking at the camera he saw it was Alex and Natasha, after letting them in Elijah pulled up a few seconds later and they all walked inside. Sitting at the table Jaxon gave the run down on what was going on and which steps needed to be done to find out the truth.
Jaxon's POV
Once I got everyone inside I started off with the events from yesterday. Of course we had to run it back for Natasha since Mariah hadn't told her yet and while she was telling her she had Sabrina and Tiffany on the phone so they could know too. Speaking again I told everyone that we needed to figure out a way to not only get a dna test but to also see what this girl's motive is. After I said that Alex spoke up and said he knew the reason why she was doing this and we all looked at him funny until he played the video he had on his phone. When the video was finished the look on Mariah's face told me that not only was she pissed but she was going to beat that girl black and blue. Immediately Elijah snapped because he couldn't believe this girl was really trying to get someone to help her with this mess. A few hours later after we handled that Alex told us about him and Natasha, I'm happy for them and so was Mariah and my mom. When they left Elijah asked could he talk to Mariah alone, at first my instinct was no but Mariah reassured me and plus I knew what it was about.
Elijah's POV
After everything was out and said I decided that now was the time to talk to Mariah. When she got up from the table I called out her name and asked could we talk. I saw the look on Jaxon's face but before I could say anything Mariah told him it was okay. Nervous was a understatement because I know this conversation can go one or two ways but I was hoping it would work in my favor because truth be told I still love Mariah deeply and I'm not sure if I'm ready to completely let her go.
