03: his letter

"Nishimura Riki, if you don't let go, I'm going to tighten my grip even more." Sunoo muttered as he slowly tightened his grip on Ni-ki's hair, watching him laugh while holding an envelope.

"What's with this anyway?" Ni-ki smiled, looking at the students in the hallway who stopped what they're doing to see what's happening within the two. "Do you all want to see what's inside? Because me too!"

Most of the students replied yes to Ni-ki's question while the others just chose to watch and find out more about the mysterious envelope.

"Sunoo!" Jungwon appeared through the crowd, looking at Sunoo with worried eyes. "What's happening? Do you want me to fight him for you, huh?"

Ni-ki took off Sunoo's grip from his hair as he walked towards Jungwon, caressing the elder's face with the envelope. "No need, Yang Jungwon. This will be within Sunoo and I only. By the way, do you know what's inside this anyway?"

Jungwon gulped as his eyes grew huge. Is he seeing that right? Because that's the letter Sunoo spent all night writing for Sunghoon. It contained everything he wanted to say about the school trip- specifically about how much he wants to be partners with Sunghoon.

"Let go of that!" Jungwon tried taking the envelope from Ni-ki for Sunoo's good but the younger was too tall for Jungwon to reach from above.

Sunoo tried taking the envelope from Ni-ki too but just like Jungwon, he was too small. "If you don't give that back to me right now, you're going to regret it."

"Really? What are you going to do, Kim Sunoo?" Ni-ki laughed maniacally, opening the envelope as he slowly took the letter inside of it.

"Nishimura Riki, Stop!" Sunoo screamed as he fell to his knees, attracting more students to come at their corridor.

Jungwon had the urge to fight Ni-ki for Sunoo but someone came before him, taking the letter from Ni-ki's hands. "Oh no..."

"Is this yours?" Sunghoon asked as he took the letter from Ni-ki's hand, turning the latter's arm causing him pain.

"Ouch! How dare you?!" Ni-ki groaned in pain as he watched Sunghoon look at him straight in the eyes. He then showed a sinister smile to Sunoo before glancing back to Sunghoon. "Since you're here, why don't you look at the letter now? It's from him, by the way."

Sunghoon pushed Ni-ki to the floor, placing the envelope inside his cardigan as he offered a hand to help Sunoo up. "This must be yours. Stand up, we're going somewhere."

All the students gasped as they watched the scene. As we all know, Park Sunghoon is a campus crush who usually just greets everyone but doesn't interact futher with them. Most of the people crushing on him fell to the floor, while others just couldn't believe what happened and is willing to tell everyone who missed such scene.

Sunoo held Sunghoon's hand as he stood up, avoiding his gaze to prevent blushing. "T-thank you-"

"You're Yang Jungwon, right?" Sunghoon asked Jungwon with a smile, getting him to reply with a nod. He then glanced at Ni-ki, who's still whining in pain, then back to Jungwon. "You can take the rest, I assume you're good at it."

"Ah, yes." Jungwon bowed down to Sunghoon, watching Sunoo holding his smile back. As soon as the two left, Jungwon took a deep breath before giving Ni-ki a huge kick in his ass. "Didn't I tell you to leave Sunoo alone already? How about I double the kick?"

"Fine, fine! Just leave me alone already!" Ni-ki begged, closing his eyes from the torment of Jungwon's kick.

Jungwon then watched Sunoo and Sunghoon walk away from the corridor, letting out a heavy sigh. "Have fun." He muttered with a slight smile.

"Here, let's sit here for a moment." Sunghoon let go of Sunoo's hand as they sat on the school garden's bench. "Ah, here. It must be for me but if you don't want me reading it, you can have it back." He took the envelope from his cardigan, handing it back to Sunoo.

Sunoo wasn't sure if he was going to take it back or not but he just did, worried if he's done some mistakes in writing despite spending an entire night on it. "Thank you, once again. I couldn't have dealt with the devil himself so good thing you came there."

Sunghoon just smiled as he looked up to the sky, thinking about things. "Hey, I know we've never really talked to each other but do you have a school trip partner?"

"Not yet..." Sunoo hung his head low, trying to avoid mentioning the fact he wants to be partners with him. "How about you?"

"I don't have one yet either." Sunghoon replied as he closed his eyes, feeling the winter breeze hug him tightly.

Sunoo tilted his head, confused whether he's lying or telling the truth. "Are you sure? How can such a fine man not have a partner yet? Maybe you got asked out but you turned them down."

"No one asked me out, actually, haha. They're all probably thinking I'm going to turn them down that's why no one came." Sunghoon laughed, locking eyes with Sunoo. "Did someone ask you out though?"

"Me? Haha, no way. I'm not like you." Sunoo answered as he avoided Sunghoon's gaze to prevent awkwardness.

"Alright, then." Sunghoon then held Sunoo's face, gently turning it to face him. "Kim Sunoo, be my school trip partner."

"Leave me alone, okay? I don't want you tailing behind me." Jungwon rolled his eyes as he walked quickly, carrying files to bring into the student council. "Nishimura, out."

Ni-ki chuckled as he threw his empty soda can into the trash can. "You're not the only one who was asked to bring files, you know? Don't be assuming, okay?"

Jungwon kept silent as he stopped walking, taking the files from Ni-ki's arms so that he won't follow him anymore. "It's not much so I can carry these myself. You may leave me alone now-"

"Huh? Isn't that Sunghoon and Sunoo?" Ni-ki crossed his arms, watching the two talk from the corridor near the school garden. "That Park Sunghoon. I'm going to make sure I get back at him-"

"Shh." Jungwon handed Ni-ki all the files he was carrying, walking forward to hide behind a pillar so he can hear what they're talking about. "Are they talking about being partners in the school trip?"

"S-Sunghoon, are you for real right now? I'm not complaining but I was just about to ask you out right now!"

"Really? Then we should be partners then!" Sunghoon took out his phone, giving it to Sunoo. "I'll be needing your phone number so we can plan about things we'll be doing in the trip."

Jungwon scoffed, looking at Ni-ki who started eating lollipop while staring at him. "What are you looking at, huh?"

"You gave me the files that you were supposed to bring! I'm not doing them for you." Ni-ki replied as he pouted, glancing at the two before he locked eyes with Jungwon. "Why do you look like you care so much now that they're school trip partners, hmm? I'm supposed to be the one who cares, my plan is ruined! I was going to embarrass Sunoo in front of him but, oh well!"

"W-who said I care? I was just looking at my best friend, tsk." Jungwon exclaimed as he hung his head low. "Plus, I'm just happy he finally got close with the person he loves the most."
