CHAPTER 17

"Keep an eye on them." Satoru uttered before licking his bottom lip, finding it difficult to calm himself. He knew he needed to be extra careful with his firm grip to not break his damn phone. It would be a pain transferring photos since he got lots of them—mostly containing his sister's photographs, but the situation's making it hard for him.

After the call, he trudged straight back to the school. Suguru or perhaps everyone, with the exception of Yaga-sensei and Nanami, doesn't know where the penthouse is, so no one would definitely know where to put Suzura... rather than his dorm.

Thinking about it, he's quite proud that he was able to mask away her existence for a few years, especially from his best friend. Suguru was a tough one, but he successfully convinced him to think he just religiously goes home to the Gojo Clan or goes to some other... sinful business; the latter far more believable.

And since Suguru isn't one to indulge in that particular topic, he rarely asks questions about it, thinking it doesn't really concern him.

As he approached his own room, he instantly noted that the door's left slightly open, letting him hear the conversation inside; none of which resembled his sister nor his classmates.

When he entered, he saw Suzura sleeping on his bed and Suguru manspreading a chair.

Noticing his presence, the said guy whirled his head to the entrance, meeting his gaze.

"Don't close the door. It'll creak." He whisper-shouted, to which Satoru nodded, leaving it widely open. Then afterwards, he leaned against the wall.

"They abolished her execution." He removed his glasses, slipping them in his pocket. He didn't need to mention that if she'll bring chaos then his head will roll with hers because the following information is a lot more interesting. "And did you know, she apparently scared the shit out of Gakuganji." He casually added.

"Really?" Suguru blinked in bewilderment.

"Yup. So even with the execution gone, she's not allowed to be unsupervised at all times. He suggested it." Satoru clicked his tongue, proceeding to hide his ill temper with a smirk.

He recalled how the old man pointed out that his sister would never be tamed. Supposedly, it's him trying to bad mouth her, but all he heard was a good thing. He wouldn't want his sister being 'tamed', not by their rules at least.
