Her ears rang as muffled voices echoed on top of each other.
It's only morning, yet Suzura's already feeling tired. She kept covering her mouth each time she yawned, making her half-lidded eyes watery.
"Remember! Never take off your hats and always hold hands with your partner, okay?" Teacher Rie instructed, waving her pointy finger as a sign of 'never'. "Is everyone ready?" Suzura looked around to look for—
"Let's go?" Ayako's enthusiastic voice sounded beside her. The girl held her hand tightly, knowing that she's a mess to deal with everytime they go outside. "Suzura-chan? Are you alright?" Her head tilted to the side.
"...mm." Suzura nodded, tightening her grip as well.
While they were walking outside, Teacher Rie kept glancing at their spot, making her feel uncomfortable. There's a sense of nervousness in her, as if she made a mistake, and she doesn't like it.
'I'm not doing anything wrong, right?'
She glanced at Ayako, surprised that the girl was already looking at her.
Her best friend smiled, her arm rocking their holding hands slightly.
"Today, we'll go to another park!~" Rie's voice took over, causing Suzura to pay attention rigidly before shifting her focus to the scenery, carefully observing the road. The busy streets filled with people slowly diminished into a peaceful neighborhood.
"I'm excited!" Ayako blurted. "Let's play once we get there!"
When the milky-haired girl didn't respond, the short-haired girl settled her face in front of hers, her heterochromatic eyes goggling at her lack of enthusiasm. 'It's strange seeing her best friend like this,' she thought. 
"What's wrong, Suzura-chan?" She spoke with a worry-laced tone that was easily audible to the other person, who tensed up.
"It's nothing. Are you sad? Sorry..." Suzura shifted her gaze to the sky, squinting her eyes at its vibrancy. 
"Nope! Are you?"
The snow-haired girl actually felt confused. Her tiredness doesn't really make sense because she was certain that she got plenty of sleep.
