Hailey's P.O.V
"Hailey! Hey!" Adam's arm automatically wraps around my waist. I don't reply, I just stand there with him.
"Adam....we need to talk"
"Sure...we do"
"Yeah..um..I think for the best if we....break up" his smile drops and he just stares at me. I regret what I just said.
"Hailey....but.."
"Adam, I'm just uncertain for your love for me..."
"Let me prove it then!" I nod.
"But, not with me. Show me you care, and that you don't just feel trapped with me"
"Hailey...."
"I'm sorry Adam" I shriek and rip away from his grip. My feet carry me towards Cici.
"I broke up with Adam" I exclaim and she envelopes me into a hug.
"I'm sorry" I look back and I see Adam with Jesse. My stomach turns and I hug Cici tighter.
Adam's P.O.V
I felt like my heart was just ripped out of my chest and threw on the floor. Jesse tried telling me to say something loving, to get her back but I don't listen.
"Too....heartbroken" I mummur. He nods and I feel like he doesn't understand. And he doesn't. And won't.
I had a battle to face now. My battle, and the king doesn't need help.
I get up and walk to class, five minutes early, like it would matter. I needed a few distractions today.
"Work can't fix it" Jane pauses. "But....I can. Don't you want me too?"
"No, I only want Hailey. And I'll prove I deserve her. That I love her"
