Chapter 14

I heard my alarm go off I get up and start to get ready For the day. It was only 1 interview since a meet and greet got canceled, a lunch meet, and a dinner meeting. So we had our flight moved up to late in the evening today.

I grabbed my phone and began to text Kaylynn good morning when a harsh knock at the door. "Shoto let's go we're going to be late." My dad said through the door. I grabbed my coat and wallet before heading out the door. Once I got into the car I started to text her again.

"Shoto are you making sure to keep up with. I see you have 2 assignments and a test." My father says not looking up from his phone.

"If I would have known you'd be up my ass about assignments I would have chosen someone else for my internship. Anyway assignments are due Sunday I still have time." I say rolling my eye and picking up my phone to do one of my assignments.

"Please watch your language. Keep in mind you are getting your provisional license and the end of this month. If you don't have good grades they may not let you take the exams."

It bothered me to know that the only thing he cared about was good grades to be a hero. Most of the day was busy and when it wasn't I did some homework. Although I couldn't help but wonder what was she up to. Did she miss me as I missed her? It felt weird to know I was so infatuated with someone, but I didn't mind it one bit.
At dinner, I was reminded about the banquet.

I thought about If she's going to say yes to going with me and if so what would we wear. I need to go to the mall maybe I could get her to go with me. Should I even tell her I'll be back sooner than I told her?

After dinner, we went back to our rooms and packed up, and headed to the airport. I took a nap on the flight home. Once we landed we agreed to split ways and I took an Uber to the dorms. When I arrived I collapsed on my bed and looked at the time, 10:45.

She often gets out of work at 10 maybe she's still up. After debating it for a minute I decide to send her a text. "Sorry I haven't answered you today I hope to have not upset you or changed your feeling about Friday?"

Not that long after she answers "No, I'm not upset either just glad to know you're okay." She answers.

"I would love to call for a little if that's okay." I received a simple yes from her and called a couple of seconds later.

"I'm sorry about today," I say as she answers.

"It's quite alright I'm sure you've had a busy day anyway." She responds.

"Ah yes from a photoshoot with my dad to dinner with more sponsors and pretending to be this amazing father-son duo. I do apologize for not texting at all today. Every time I would start to type I'd get pulled any for something."

"It's really okay Shoto I understand. I kept myself busy I just worried for a minute."

I never had someone worry about me over so little time. "Please do not worry about my safety I'm a hero in training things are bound to happen."

"No, I'm sure you can protect yourself. I was just- never mind. Did anything exciting happen today?"

"No, please let me into your mind."I pressed.

"I just got a bit insecure. I thought maybe you lost interest... in me. I'm sure I seem crazy, I'm just really into you."

I couldn't help but smile to myself. It felt good to know her feelings we positive about me. Although I needed her to no there was no reason for her to be insecure as she was the only thing on my mind.

"Princess. Do you not recall our first night together. I'm in love with you. I know it might have been too soon to say it but I meant it." I say softly to her although I'd say it on live television if she asked me to.
