chapter one now what

4 months of living in LA
JORIS POV
I woke up to chirps of birds outside my half cracked bedroom window. It started off a peaceful morning until I tried to step of how my big white comforter and ended falling straight on my face.
"great start" I said to myself muffled by the hardwood floors
I walked out into the kitchen to see Maddie doing something unbelievable.
she was cooking.
that may sound stupid to normal peopl but if you knew Maddie well enough she never cooked.never.
"well if my eyes are playing tricks on me, I thought I would never see the day!" I said sarcastically
"that's right smart ass I'm cooking but it's for a celebration" she says practically screaming
"And what is this celebration exactly" I said while my ears were ringing from her screaming
" well as you know I signed up to be on face off a few months ago and -"
"MADISON RAE COAST DONT TELL ME YOU ACTUALLY GOT IN!!"
" OH YEAH BITCH YOU BET I GOT IT!!"
we start dancing around the kitchen in joy
"That's great I'm so happy for you! When do you leave" I ask excitedly
"that's the thing I have to leave tomorrow..." she says looking a little guilty
deeps inside I was upset what am I suppose to do while Maddie is gone. She's pretty much my only friend I have in LA. But I didn't want her to think about not going or feeling bad.
so I said "well that's ok atleast we can hang around here today and just spend our last days together"
"Okay dude I'm gonna be gone for at the most 8 months....I'm not dying" she says cracking up at my over exaggeration that I tend to do a lot
All we could do is laugh
the rest of the day we just spent around the house watching Netflix then went out shopping for a little bit to buy new clothes for her trip thing whatever you wanna call it. Then by the time we got back she had to get packed and i drove her to the airport.
we pulled up to the drop off. I got out of the car to help her get her luggage out,
" well I guess this is good bye old chap" I said in a lousy British accent to lighten the mood
"Haha yeah...I guess it is" she says grinning a little but I could tell she was sad
"Aye but truss me you'll kick ass in that competition, ya hear me"
"Yea yea yea ill try my best but it's gonna be weird not having your stupid jokes to wake me up everyday" she says almost flashing back to some of my stupid jokes
"Aye but we will keep in contact either if it's texting or calling okay"
"Okie dokie then I better get going so I don't miss my plane"
the we have each other a good bye hug and I looked as she walked into the crowd of people til I couldn't see her anymore. I stood there for a few minutes thinking....
when am I gonna have my big break?
As I was thinking a police officer yelled
" AYE READ THE SIGN LADY"
I looked up to see a sign that said
' not parking longer then 10 minutes '
" I know I know I'm moving I'm movin " I said hopping into the car as I drove away back to the apartment.
As I walked in it was really quiet and I dropped my purse on the ground hung up my coat and realized....
now what?

( if you guys don't know what face off is its a show where a bunch of unknown makeup artist come from all over the place a create really cool syfy for movies and stuff like that and one by one they get eliminated until just one wins )
