Taeyong was helping Doyoung pack at his place, hearing the great news that he'll be promoting to America. It has been about 5 hours since they started packing, almost finishing. They had 2 hours left until Taeyong would drive him to the airport.
After quite some time, Doyoung's belongings were in Taeyong's car as the two friends were having their final dinner before Doyoung's departure.
"I'll miss you at here bro. It will be empty and boring without you until you come back for graduation." Taeyong started washing the dishes.
"Don't worry, you can ask Jungwoo to move in with you. His family moved out of the city so it's far for him to get to university every day." Doyoung pointed out.
"Good point, by the time you get back though, you'll have to find a better place to live since you'll be coming back with a huge amount of income." Taeyong teased him. "I'm really happy for you for stepping out of your comfort zone. You've been modeling behind the scenes for quite a while now."
"I guess." Doyoung got his belongings getting ready to go.
Taeyong's phone started ringing, coming from Jaehyun. Taeyeong went over to the dining table, picking up the call.
"What's up Jaehyun?"
"Are you and Doyoung free tonight?"
Taeyong stayed silent for a bit as Doyoung sighed that he couldn't hangout and was guilty of missing Jaehyun's call.
'Just tell him.' Doyoung mouthed.
"Doyoung's leaving to America. It was last minute but he's working for Givenchy now. I have to take him to the airport tonight."
"Oh my gosh! That's great news! It's a dream come true! I'm so happy for Doyoung! Send him my blessings. I was with him earlier today and he suddenly got an urgent call, probably from his mother."
"Yeah. Maybe another time?"
"Sure!"
Taeyong said bye and hung up the call, looking at Doyoung as his expression was plainless.
"Is there someone else you would like to see before leaving? It's your last chance." Taeyong asked softly hoping he would want to see Chaewon.
Taeyong heard the story from Jaehyun, but he honestly can't blame either of them, knowing it would possibly have a painful ending.
"I don't want to see anyone else." Doyoung was emotionless as he was standing at the door getting ready.
"You can always see-" Taeyong tried to encourage him as Doyoung heavily took a sharp breath.
"Taeyong, just take me to the airport." Doyoung calmed his heart rate down before getting angry as his friend. "Please."
-
Chaewon was sitting on the living room couch watching TV all day as a headache suddenly occurred to her.
"Doyoung! I'm so happy you're here."
"Yes, now you're drunk, I need to take you home."
"I'm not drunk."
"Yes you are now let me take you home."
"Okay, but before we go home. I want to tell you something. I wanted to tell that I lo-"
Chaewon's headache slowly went away after drinking a glass of water remembering memories coming back to her.
"Did I really say that to Doyoung when I was all drunk?"
Chaewon now started to think she was a fool for saying that after the fact she hasn't seen him or contacted him. She started crying softly, knowing that it was her fault. Doyoung had every right to leave her and she honestly hated herself for it.
Chaewon then heard the front apartment door open seeing that Jaehyun was panting. She quickly went to the kitchen and poured a glass of water of him as Jaehyun gulped it all.
"Jaehyun what's wrong?" Chaewon asked him worriedly as she tried to get him to stand up properly.
"We need to go to Incheon." Jaehyun's voice rasped.
"Why?" Chaewon tilted her head.
"Doyoung's flight is leaving in three hours." Jaehyun broke the ice.
Chaewon was shocked to hear the news coming out from Jaehyun's house as she ran to her room and quickly changed. She grabbed Jaehyun's hoodie on the way out of the rooms as Jaehyun was patiently waiting for her at the door.
"Let's go."
-
Taeyong had finished helping Doyoung get out of his luggages and waving his final goodbye to him. Doyoung went into the airport with his belongings all alone as he already contacted someone in New York that would escort him to his new home for 1 1/2 years.
Doyoung checked in his bag, got his boarding ticket, went through security check and now sitting at his gate with an hour left. He started scrolling through his phone and started watching youtube.
-
"Jaehyun can you drive any faster?" Chaewon whined as they were in the middle of traffic.
"Patience Chaewon it's only 7:30pm. We're not far from Incheon International Airport." Jaehyun tried to maneuver through the traffic.
After another hour of driving, Jaehyun pulled up at the airport at the departure section as Chaewon got out of the car and started sprinting. Jaehyun then decided to look for parking catching up with her later.
"Oh gosh I hope she's okay." Jaehyun mumbled.
Chaewon was looking at the board at the check in area, finding Doyoung's flight leaving for New York City. She wanted to know the flight number and which gate he was.
She wanted to cry more since her eyes were already puffy, not being able to see him before he leaves. After all she was there when he wanted the opportunity but she wasn't there when it was given to him.
Flight 2390, Korean Air, 9:00pm, New York City, Gate E40
Chaewon found his flight information starting to sprint. She paid to pass the security check, had to go on a train and now was in the building of Doyoung's gate.
After panting for a while, she reached the Gate E40 as the announcements had said that Doyoung's flight got ready to board. She saw him got up and ran to him immediately, wrapping herself around him. She closed her eyes and pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss.
Doyoung eye's widened at Chaewon's appearance at the airport as his lips were against hers. He slowly closed his eyes, pulling her closer for a kiss. After a good while, he pulled away from her, looking at her face.
She's been crying
"I love you Doyoung. I'm sorry I never said it sooner. But I love you." Chaewon spurred out her words as she looked at him.
Doyoung looked at her with loving eyes as he tucked his hair behind her back, caressing her cheek and holding her one last time.
The final announcement of his flight boarding was made and Doyoung knew he had to go.
"Let's finish the conversation when I come back to Korea." Doyoung reluctantly removed Chaewon's arms off of him and took his belongings, boarding his flight.
He couldn't face her at the moment.
Chaewon watched him boarding the plane without a final goodbye as her tears started to flow harder after she lost sight of him. She sat on a seat, covering her eyes as tears started to flow down harder.
She was nothing to him after all.
She didn't care if people around her watched her cry, but honestly all she can conclude that she is unable to forgive herself for leading Doyoung on.
He doesn't love me at all or anymore...
It felt like a harbinger. Everything was bound to happen.
