Struggling with the keys in your hand, you angrily pushed one of the keys inside the lock. Luckily you had managed to get the right one because you were one step away from kicking the door if it proved to be the wrong one.

Last night you stayed up until 3 am studying for an exam and the four hours of sleep you had were the reason why you were so moody and angry.

As soon as you laid a foot inside the house, you threw your bag to the couch and closed the door, closing your eyes in relief.

You were finally home.

Lazily taking off your jacket and throwing it at the couch that you missed, thoughts filled your mind as you watched the jacket laying on the fluffy white carpet next to the glass table.

Something was bothering you as soon as you stepped outside of your college campus, you didn't know why but you could swear you were being watched. That feeling lasted for about five minutes as you made your way to your house, but it vanished when you entered the crowded and busy street that led to your house.

Since a child, you had been taught not to ignore the signs and to be prepared for anything that might happen so you gulped as you opened a specific drawer in the kitchen and you took off the remote control that with a simple click on a button would notify the police.

Your dad was the commissioner of Seoul's police department, so it wasn't a surprise your whole education was mostly about how to defend yourself, to practice the good, and to respect the law. You hated the fact that everyone knew you as the "the cop's daughter" and most people were afraid to talk to you as if you were going to tell your dad all of their sins and mistakes.

In reality, you just didn't give a care about other people's lives. You were just a chill person who loved to be home, listening to music, watching movies...

Being home meant safety, the place you felt most comfortable in because, even though you seemed cold on the outside, you were shy and didn't like being approached by random people.

When you are home, you are just you, and your dad is just him.

A cracking sound came from your backyard and your whole body froze. To access your backyard, you'd have to jump over the huge protection or enter by the front door and there's no way it would be your dad.

On the corner of your eye, you could see a black silhouette behind you and your instincts became alert. You hit the button on the control remote and it emitted a sound as you cursed under your breath.
