A mission to fulfill with lives at stake, will a love flourish in between?
The nervousness in you could be seen from miles away because you couldn't stop making random movements with your hands and walking in circles. Today was the day when you would try to catch the drug dealer at your university and hopefully get a chance to experience what it is like to be undercover.
"Going anywhere?" You heard someone speaking next to you and you jumped from surprise. Looking at the person next to you, you saw your dad in his uniform holding a cup of coffee.
"Sorry, you scared me" You laughed in relief seeing it was just him, starting to go towards the couch to grab your wallet "Yes, I'm going to uni"
"To catch the drug dealer?"
With those words you slowly stopped moving, widening your eyes before you turned around to face him. A sigh escaped your lips, of course, he would end up knowing about it...
"Did Dongwook tell you about it?" You asked, getting closer to him again and ready to have this conversation.
He scoffed "I don't need him to tell me. Every case gets through me first before getting approved"
"That's-"
"And imagine my surprise when I see your name inside the folder. Are you trying to make me look bad?" He spoke the last sentence louder, his forehead's wrinkles prominent with annoyance "Didn't you think about how that makes me look stupid?! My own daughter reporting something, even helping on the scene and I have no idea about it?"
A sense of guilt crossed your chest and your jaw tensed, knowing he was kind of right. You knew you should've told him even if he didn't agree with you wanting to help and going undercover.
"Dad..."
"No" He interrupted you "I waited these past days to see if you'd actually tell me about it but you weren't even going to tell me, am I wrong?"
"I'm sorry" You finally spoke "But I knew you wouldn't let me do this if I told you"
"He shook his head in disbelief "You know I have the authority to stop the investigation, right? I could've stopped it"
You tilted your head in surprise, not sure if what you heard was right "Are you saying that you... accepted it?"
He rolled his eyes, sighing before turning to look at you while his eyes softened "Well, you really want to do this right?"
A smile grew on your face "You're serious?!"
"I swear if something happens to you..."
You hugged him tightly not letting him finish the phrase. He chuckled and hugged you back.
