Giyuu instantly knew where he was.

Home.

More specifically, the abode where he and his sister lived together.

It harbored the same physical configurations and compositions of the structure he can recall from his memories. It's the same home his father had built for his mother.

Under normal conditions, Giyuu would be having mixed feelings about seeing this building again.

After all, this was the same place he saw his poor example of a father drunkenly rail against him, and, most of all, where he watched his sister being eaten alive.

And yet, he did not feel unsettled; not a nerve in his body invoked a sentiment of anxiety or trepidation relating to the circumstances he currently finds himself in.

It was probably because there was something different about the setting, at least different from the one he remembers.

It's more welcoming, more lively.

The atmosphere was soothing. The air felt warm, like a blanket encasing one's lethargic body after a hard day of work.

The radiance of the sun imbued its strong, vibrant light into the home—comforting both the eyes and the spirit from any sources of absolute darkness.

It was as if all the worries in the world—all the burdens that weighed on the shoulders of oneself—no longer existed, and, instead, the relaxation of the mind and cheerful nature of the soul had manifested itself.

Almost like the heavenly features of the ethereal world.

Within the perimeters of this household, there existed an elated feeling of joy and anticipation—anticipation for what is to come.

Giyuu's mind was automatically at ease here, he found no reason to even question the logistics of his presence here or to muse on the purpose of his visit.

He was undergoing a sensation he had not felt since the days of old when he was with his sister.

There was a distinct chuckle in the distance.

Giyuu carefully approached the source of this noise, his thought processes completely consumed by the ambiance of his environment.

As he ambulated closer, he reached the Genkan—entryway—section of the household.
