Standing at nearly twice the height of Giyuu, it is no exaggeration to say that Haji is a towering figure.

Such a menacing appearance could've achieved deity-like status if it were not for the horrid appearance she donned.

WHOOSH

Haji lurched forward at full speed, seemingly disappearing from her antecedent position in the blink of an eye.

'She's fast,' was the first thought that entered both of the Hashiras' minds.

Seeing this, the Giyuu and Shinobu immediately diverged and leaped in opposite directions.

This maneuver had the effect of just barely avoiding Haji's attack, but it also isolated the Hashiras from one another.

BOOM

Within a split second, Haji's double-edged scythes landed a concentrated blow on the concrete foundations the Water and Insect Hashiras were hitherto standing on.

Thus, the susceptible structure collapsed on itself, utterly disfiguring the shape and effectively making the damage irreparable.

It was a terrifying display of Haji's raw strength.

Since Haji donned four arms in total, the upper-two arms—on the left and right, respectively—carried her scythes, while the bottom-two carried her katanas.

With this arrangement, it is obvious why the Demon of Shame utilized the scythes: she had to launch a forward, so the upper-two arms worked best in terms of delivering this blow, and those arms were carrying the scythes.

The scythes themselves are quite unique in terms of design and application

The scythes themselves are quite unique in terms of design and application. Normally, a double-edged scythe would be extraordinarily impractical due to the original variation being employed purely for agriculture-related work.

And even if it was used as a weapon, the heavy weight of just ONE sharp edge is enough to make the instrument unwieldy and hard to control for the average fighter—add in another sharp edge, and one increases the likelihood of stabbing themselves.
